Matchday 44: Crawley Town vs. Accrington Stanley
Rain poured from the sky as Niels stood beneath the dripping awning at Broadfield Stadium, his jacket soaked, the Crawley Town badge on his chest darkened by the downpour.
Just days earlier, the team had climbed to second place in League Two after a huge 2–0 win away at Barnet
Crawley's dream was alive.
But tonight felt different.
Accrington Stanley had come to spoil the celebration.
They were tough especially dangerous from set pieces and clearly ready to scrap for every ball.
Niels had spent the whole day debating a risky decision: should he rest Max and give young Korey Henry a chance up front?
Now, with 6,000 soaked but roaring fans packed into the stands, he had his answer.
This was more than just another match. This was a test of heart. Crawley had to show they could fight and win even without their star.
