Chapter 70: Red Devils Clash at Wembley (Semi-final - I)


Tomorrow, April 18, Crawley's 5,000 loyal fans would step into the towering stands of Wembley, surrounded by 40,000 spectators, for the biggest match in the club's history, an FA Cup semifinal against Premier League side Aston Villa.


Before dawn on Saturday, April 17, Crawley was already awake. 


The town was alive with red scarves, quiet excitement, and banners glowing under the streetlights "Red Devils to Wembley!" they read.


By 4:30 a.m., buses were rolling out, packed with 5,000 fans. Their chants of "Red Devils rise!" echoed through the morning mist as the convoy headed north. 


Then came a call from Milan, sharp and focused: "I'm coming, Niels. Front row. Young's pace is dangerous, Downing's crosses are deadly. Shut them down. No gaps."


The squad gathered at Broadfield Stadium at 6:00 a.m., bags packed, nerves tight, and the air buzzing with anticipation.
