Tony was being dragged toward the ground, while Obadiah—grinning like a maniac with only half a body—held tight to the guts that bound him.
He slowly raised his right arm, holding the bone blade out in front of him.
He was trying to yank Tony straight onto the blade, aiming to slice him in two.
"Huh?"
Suddenly, Peter's eyes narrowed.
No more messing around—his eyes flashed, shooting two golden beams of heat vision that instantly cut through the intestines tying up Tony.
A split-second later, Peter vanished from the sky and reappeared right in front of Obadiah.
He opened his mouth and unleashed a freezing breath, instantly turning Obadiah into a statue of ice.
Then—boom!—he punched the ice statue.
Crack!
Obadiah shattered into tiny, glittering shards—completely obliterated.
"If you can come back from that, you're officially invincible."
Without even glancing at the mess he made, Peter shot back into the sky and disappeared.
Tony was still in shock, staring at the now-sparkling remains of Obadiah raining down around him, a strange mix of relief and guilt in his eyes.
A few minutes earlier—on a train speeding through the suburbs outside New York.
"Oh my god, there's a monster in New York again!"
It was already close to midnight. Most of the passengers were drowsy, dozing off.
Until someone suddenly screamed, snapping everyone awake.
"Guys! Check your phones—it's real! There's actually a monster!"
Some people were about to scold the screamer, but before they could, a few more passengers gasped too.
"A monster? You mean like the one Superman fought last time?"
Curious now, several people pulled out their phones.
"Holy crap, it's true. But luckily, it's far from here. We should be safe."
News articles were already out—something huge was attacking the city center.
Fortunately, this train was heading away from the city. No need to panic.
"Man, New York's been a mess lately. Thank god for Superman. Hope everyone in the city's okay…"
Some passengers even started praying silently for the strangers still in danger.
Cough cough "Hey uh, that monster you're all talking about—does it look like that?"
A guy sitting by the window suddenly froze, eyes wide, staring out into the dark night.
"What? That can't be. Why would there be a monster here too?"
People turned to look—just in time to see it.
A massive green figure was running alongside the train, keeping pace with ease.
"No! I don't wanna die!"
"Somebody get the conductor! We need to stop the train—now!"
Panic erupted instantly. The car was full of screams and chaos.
Outside, the green creature kept running and leaping beside the train.
Its eyes stayed locked on the moving cars, filled with curiosity.
Like a kid who just spotted his favorite toy.
Suddenly, with a powerful leap—it landed right on top of the train.
BANG!
A massive force suddenly caved in the metal roof of the train car.
"Oh my God…"
The passengers inside screamed in terror and started rushing toward the other cars in a panic.
But the monster didn't stop there. It kept running and leaping across the rooftops of the train.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
It sounded like something huge was stomping across the top of the train cars. In that instant, everyone inside the train realized—something unknown was moving above them.
Terrified, the passengers huddled together, feeling completely helpless.
"Look, everyone! It's Spider-Woman! She's here to save us!"
At that critical moment, someone spotted a figure swinging along outside, hanging from a web, and shouted with joy.
"It really is Spider-Woman! Thank God, we're saved!"
Others saw her too, and the fear quickly turned into overwhelming relief.
"No, I have to figure out a way to get that thing off this train."
Gwen was swinging through the city's high-rises, her mind racing as she tried to come up with a plan to lure the monster away.
The thing was powerful—and clearly mindless.
And with the train moving this fast, the risk of disaster was way too high.
That's why Gwen had held back so far.
"I can't wait any longer."
She suddenly noticed the creature was already close to the front of the train—and just a few miles ahead was a bridge.
If anything went wrong—if the train stopped suddenly or derailed on the bridge—there was no way the passengers would survive.
That was all Gwen needed. Without hesitating, she fired a web and used it to launch herself straight at the monster.
ROAR!
The creature might not have been smart, but its senses were razor sharp.
As Gwen shot toward it, it spun around instantly and threw a massive punch in her direction.
BANG!
She barely had time to react—her leg shot up just in time to block the punch with a powerful kick.
The next second, the monster staggered back a few steps.
And Gwen used the momentum to twist mid-air, flipping a few times before landing firmly on the train roof.
"Ugh, this thing is such a pain."
She gritted her teeth. That collision had nearly broken the bones in her… well, her leg.
ROAR!
The creature let out another furious roar and smashed its fist down into the roof of the train.
Metal tore apart instantly.
"No—don't!"
A poor guy happened to be right underneath that spot. He let out a blood-curdling scream.
But the monster didn't care. It crouched on the roof, reached through the hole, yanked the guy out, and hurled him straight at Gwen.
"Crap!"
Gwen saw it all—but there was no time to stop it.
Staring at the passengers being hurled toward her, all Gwen could do was shoot out several webs and dodge them midair.
"Damn it, not again!"
Just as she managed to save one of the passengers with a well-timed web, her spider-sense went off like an alarm.
Next thing she knew, several more passengers were being thrown at her like cannonballs—one after another by that monster.
At this point, Gwen was completely tied up just trying to save every single person being flung her way.
"Whew, finally... it's over!"
After rescuing all the passengers without a single casualty, Gwen let out a sigh of relief.
But when she turned around, she saw the monster had already moved to the front of the train. It was crouched on the windshield, curiously peeking inside.
"No!"
Gwen immediately sprinted toward the monster.
But she was still too late.
Not finding whatever it was looking for, the creature flew into a rage.
It suddenly leapt into the air, then slammed down hard—completely crushing the control cabin at the front of the train.
Without any hesitation, it turned and leapt far off into the distance.
"What do I do now?"
The control cabin was totally destroyed, but the train's engine was still running at full speed. It couldn't be stopped or controlled anymore.
To save everyone inside, Gwen had no choice but to watch the monster escape while she dealt with the train.
She rushed to the front of the next car and stared at the flattened cabin. Her eyes gradually hardened with determination.
Standing at the second car—thankfully still intact—she shot webs out in both directions toward nearby buildings.
The next second, the intense pull from the webs nearly tore her in half.
"Ahh...!"
The searing pain made her cry out.
But her sheer willpower kept her from letting go, even as every muscle screamed in agony.
The raw strength from her spider DNA, combined with her unshakable resolve, exploded in that moment.
Creak... groan...
The force was so intense that even the metal of the train began to bend under pressure.
Snap! Snap! Snap!
One web after another snapped, sending shivers down Gwen's spine as she kept holding on.
Suddenly, she spotted a figure hovering above a bridge nearly a kilometer ahead.
"Yes! Is that him?!"
Just as hope sparked in her heart, a spine-chilling laugh rang out across the night.
"Hehehe... Since you're trying so hard, why don't we make it a little more fun?"
That creepy voice echoed in the air. A green, pumpkin-shaped bomb slowly dropped onto the bridge, bouncing a few times...
Then—BOOM!—it exploded in a violent blast.
"Fuuuck!"
Gwen's heart sank as she stared at the now-destroyed bridge and the shadowy figure disappearing into the night sky.
