Vampire Diplomacy
***Arin's POV***
Just as a vampire's fangs snapped inches from my neck, the silver-haired triplet sister grabbed my hand. She pulled me behind a fallen pillar and yelled, "Move!"
One of the shadow creatures was not the vampire who had attacked me. He had marble-pale skin and wore expensive clothes. Anger filled his crimson eyes.
He yelled at me, "You killed my son! He was destroyed by your purification power!"
"I don't even know you!" I responded with a shout.
My silver-haired sister blurted out, "That's Lord Blackthorne. Last week, his son was transformed into a shadow creature. He was purified back to normal when your power surge traveled the world, but..."
"But what?"
"Vampires cannot endure purification. They are killed by it."
My heart fell. I had never considered what would happen to creatures that were inherently dark because I had been so thrilled that my power could purge evil.
