The Witch's Bargain
***Arin's POV***
I ducked and rolled behind a stone pillar, the claws of the shadow creature scraping against my face.
"Arin!" From the other side of the amphitheater, Jaxon yelled. He and Rowan had been cornered by a gang of demons close to the vampire area.
I attempted to assist them by using my Luna power, but to no avail. Like trying to hold water in my hands, my magic felt shaky and dispersed.
"Having trouble, sister?" Floating above the chaos, my evil twin laughed. A tornado of dark energy whirled around her. "You're incomplete, which makes your power unstable."
"What do you mean?" I dodged another shadow creature and yelled back.
"Remember that we are twins? We wanted to share our magic. However, I've learned how to take what should have been mine from my time spent in the demon realm."
That's when I realized why I felt so weak. My power was being stolen by her.
Suddenly, there was a silver-haired witch next to me. "We must speak, Luna Arin. Now."
