Chapter 162 - Chapter 162: Kamishiki's Decision

Sanzu Amado looked at the boy in front of him and could not keep countless emotions from welling up inside.

He, Orochimaru, Hiruko and the others had spent years racking their brains, trying to suppress and confine the boy's power for their own use, but every ounce of that effort had been futile.

Once Ōtsutsuki Kamishiki awakened, he immediately reigned over the world; no force could bind him.

His divine power surpassed ninjutsu, surpassed technology—towering above everything.

In the blink of an eye, the entire foundation of Kara, along with every surviving member, became Ōtsutsuki Kamishiki's puppets and vassals, utterly stripped of any right or ability to resist.

As for Sanzu Amado's dream of using that power to revive his daughter…

It was just a daydream.

Ōtsutsuki Kamishiki would never obey anyone's orders.

To Amado and the rest, Kamishiki seemed not to exist in this dimension at all, but to view the world from a higher plane.

All things were beneath his notice,

everything no more than weeds and dust.

Yet…

He still possessed a congenital inner demon:

Uchiha Chiyu.

From the instant Kamishiki awoke, he understood everything—past, present, and every possible future.

That was the ability of the Divine Tree's "Clairvoyance" and "Ten Directions."

Thus, the moment he opened his eyes he set one goal only: kill Uchiha Chiyu.

Because…

If he could not kill him, he himself would die at Chiyu's hands.

So prophesied countless timelines.

Orochimaru watched Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke cutting down enemies and sighed as well.

"As expected of Naruto and Sasuke…

These two have limitless potential; they may end up second only to Chiyu."

Amado nodded.

"No wonder Ōtsutsuki Isshiki once strained every nerve to claim them as vessels."

Kamishiki reminisced coldly.

"For members of the human race, the two are indeed impressive. Yet to me, they are still meaningless. Were I not wary of Uchiha Chiyu, I could erase such beings with a flick of the wrist."

Delta asked timidly, full of reverence despite her violent nature:

"My Kamishiki-sama, if you can see past, present and future, why not simply kill Chiyu outright?"

Kamishiki paused.

"He alone is the man I cannot see through.

Whether with Clairvoyance or Ten Directions, the moment he is involved, countless obstacles arise and I can see nothing about him. At the ends of the infinite future timelines, only he or I exists. Ultimately only one of us survives."

Delta pressed,

"Then—in how many futures do you live?"

Silence.

Everyone knew the odds favored Uchiha Chiyu.

"Whatever the case, that man is still human, not a true Ōtsutsuki. Even if there is but a single timeline in which I win… the victor will still be me."

Delta ventured,

"But, my lord, do you not possess the Shinjutsu 'Omnipotence'? You could simply rewrite reality."

Kamishiki shook his head.

"I cannot yet control Omnipotence at will. Indeed, I suspect that even if I could, I still might not be able to rewrite reality to kill Uchiha Chiyu."

Delta blanched.

"You mean… that man already stands above Shinjutsus?!"

"I do not know," Kamishiki said flatly. "He alone is beyond my sight. Yet in the one timeline where I succeed in killing him, Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke die first."

The listeners' hearts stirred.

"So—to kill Chiyu, Naruto and Sasuke must die first?"

"Exactly."

"Then why not act now, my lord?"

"Neither Chiyu nor I may move lightly," Kamishiki replied. "If this is a game of chess, we two are the players—you are the pieces."

Orochimaru and the rest understood: they were to confront Naruto and Sasuke.

Delta sneered,

"Then let me do it! I'll kill those two!"

"Your strength is insufficient," Kamishiki said. "Besides, I wish to test the power of the Claw Fissions."

Delta's face fell, but she dared not object.

Naruto & Sasuke vs. the Rinnegan Claw Fissions

At that moment Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke were locked in fierce combat with Rinnegan‑eyed Claw Fissions—elite offshoots of the Ten‑Tails. They possessed little more than absurdly high stats: nearly indestructible bodies and monstrous power, enough to suppress most of the shinobi world.

Unfortunately for them, their opponents were Naruto and Sasuke, whose power had long since reached unimaginable heights.

Naruto's chakra‑laden punch sent one Fission flying like a mountain, the earth trembling with the impact. Ever since entering Sage of Six Paths mode he could clash with Kaguya's Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack—and now he was stronger still. Foregoing Rasengan, he had followed Chiyu's path of pure close‑quarters brutality, infusing Wind‑style chakra into his fists:

Gale Palm

Whirlwind Fist

Wind‑Chakra Mode

On top of that he stacked Kurama Mode, Six Paths Mode, and Six Paths Kurama Mode, pushing his explosiveness to the limit. One furious blow shredded half a Fission's body; only their rapid regeneration spared them instant death.

Sasuke, not wanting to be outdone, combined Amenotejikara with the lightning blade taught by the Lord of the Shinobi World, cleaving his foe in two. But the monster regenerated again.

"Annoying… Their weakness must be the Rinnegan itself—or some regenerative core," he reasoned.

Teleporting again, he rammed his lightning‑wreathed sword straight through the Rinnegan eye. The Fission shrieked and began collapsing.

Naruto reached the same conclusion, but took the direct approach:

"If I blow up the whole body, no eye or core matters!"

His Whirlwind Fist in Six Paths Kurama Mode pulverized another Fission. Both young men struck simultaneously—still dead even.

"Damn, still can't settle who's stronger," they muttered.

Elsewhere Haruno Sakura shattered several ordinary Fissions—when a deadly sense of danger flared. White‑phosphorus serpents burst from the ground, coiling around her and lunging to bite. Sakura tore one apart with monstrous strength, but more snakes swarmed. From above:

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"

She was trapped.

Naruto and Sasuke, wordless, reacted instantly. Sasuke's Rinnegan absorbed the Dust Release with "Sealing Absorption Seal," while Naruto's miniature Tailed‑Beast Bomb obliterated the snakes.

Their ambushers: Orochimaru, and the one using Dust Release—Kara remnant Hiruko.

Naruto and Sasuke shielded Sakura, eyes blazing.

"Perfect—Kara's stragglers finally show up… Sasuke, shall we wager on these two?"

"Gladly. Which one do you want?"

"Orochimaru's mine. The bloodline freak is yours."

Sakura cautioned them, but the two leapt forward without another word.

Naruto erupted into his ultimate form—Three Heads, Six Arms, Nine Tails. Chakra roared; even Orochimaru felt fear.

Despite his own leaps in power from Amado's Ōtsutsuki gene therapy, he was outclassed.

Naruto's punch demolished Orochimaru's Myriad Snake Formation; even Triple Rashōmon lasted only moments. Orochimaru countered with a Six Paths‑augmented Yamata‑no‑Orochi, but Naruto smashed it to pieces.

Orochimaru tried to shed his skin and flee. Naruto flashed above him and stomped the white‑phosphorus serpent form into pulp.

Orochimaru, though hard to kill, was dead for this battle—and Naruto had won in mere exchanges.

Meanwhile Sasuke fought Hiruko, who had grafted nearly every bloodline limit—and even bloodline selections—onto himself: Hydrification of the Hōzuki, Shikotsumyaku, Wood Release, Dust Release, Rabbit Hair Needle, and the deadly Ash‑Killing Bone. Even so, Sasuke was undaunted.

He summoned Perfect Susanoo, drawing the Heavenly Magakakyu Bow. A blinding lightning arrow—Indra's Arrow—formed, radiating the world‑destroying power. Hiruko sensed death, but had no time to react. The arrow blasted forth, obliterating Hiruko and carving a deep canyon into the wasteland.

Naruto gaped, then grinned.

"Still, I win— I killed Orochimaru first!"

But Sasuke refused.

"Our wager was who actually kills the enemy. I truly erased Hiruko; Orochimaru will resurrect. So I win."

Naruto fumed; Sakura sighed.

Far away, Ōtsutsuki Kamishiki's face remained blank, though a ripple stirred in his heart. Amado frowned.

"They took out Orochimaru and Hiruko in an instant? Their power has skyrocketed that much?"

"Truly worthy students of Uchiha Chiyu…"

Even Delta's arrogance faltered.

"What now, my lord?"

"I cannot move, and you are too weak," Kamishiki said after a pause. "I will have to grant you power."

The remnants rejoiced, but Kamishiki warned coldly:

"If I empower you and you still fail… you'll regret ever having lived."

They shuddered and swore to succeed.

Kamishiki gazed at Naruto and Sasuke—and through them, he saw the shadow of Uchiha Chiyu.

"Uchiha Chiyu…

The next time we meet

will be the final battle."
