Layla woke up an hour before before her alarm rang,the adrenaline that pumped through her made her restless. She'd been offered a spot at the best gaming company on earth and she'd felt jitterish. She'd been on their waiting list for 2 years now and had given up all hope until 1 wk earlier when her phone had rung and they'd offered her a spot, it had taken her whole strength to not jump up and squeal into the phone like a total teenager...her pay was fair enough and her work time wasn't really any much of a stress.
She picked up the coin on her table and smiled.
"What do you have for me Gramma?" She muttered to herself and flipped the coin upward, it landed on her left palm and without taking a look at it she placed it on her right palm and slapped it back on the back of her left palm.
"Heads!" She squealed in delight. What was more exciting than the total possibility of having good luck on your first day at work.
She came down from her bed and went to dress, her job didn't start until 8am but getting there a few minutes ago earlier and sorting her things out before the place became crowded wasn't a bad idea. By 7:30 Layla was all dressed and in front of her apartment, she opened the mail box; a letter from her Dad- that always went to the waste bin, two letters from Reynolds- waste bin, one letter from her butler- she kept that one in her purse, two letters from her mother- that one went back to the mail...her waste bin was worth more than her mum's letters.
Sighing she went to the garage and drove out of the house in her car.

Xavier hated the thought of going to work, why go to place you own?? It's not like anyone was going to beat him up if he didn't.
"You have a meeting with two famous company today." His secretary, Maze, and the only person closest to his heart muttered.
"So??"
"Xavier, don't be a thorn in my ass this morning." Maze muttered totally annoyed.
"Yunno that has been my greatest wish." Xavier muttered a smirk on his face.
"I swr to God...."
"Stop swearing I'm up." Xavier groaned as he stood up from the bed. He liked Maze for mostly one thing, she wasn't among those girls that fawned over him because of his beauty and money, she liked him for who he was annoying and stupid and maybe even as dangerous as the devil as he maybe the girl still want afraid of him.
"I'm going on a run first,tell de chef to get my meal prepared and get someone to prepare a hot bathe for me."
He didn't wait for Maze to respond before going to his dressing room to change into a pair of joggers and t-shirt.
It was a bit early but the responsible ones were already on their way to work, he watch said 7:50...he's been running for almost two hrs now. Xavier loved how running around made him feel, he felt free and powerful, that incomparable feel of early morning air slapping around your hair. He branched into a coffee shop by his right and ordered some donuts and coffee to go but as he was about leaving someone bumped into him and spilled hot coffee on him
"Damn, damn, damn!!!" He growled as he tried not to jump as the coffee burnt his skin. Xavier looked down to see who had hurt him so bad and a pair of the most beautiful sea blue eyes he'd ever seen was staring back up at him....hold on was that annoyance he saw in her eyes??
"I know you're as tall as hell but it wouldn't kill you to look down a little bit, you've spilt coffee all over my shoes!" The girl said and Xavier felt flabbergasted.
"Excuse you!! I poured coffee on your shoes?? Can't you see my whole t-shirt's stained?? You literally bumped into me!!" He replied letting the anger slip into his voice, this girl was as rude as hell.
"I've had a day spoiler already against the prediction of my coin... I'll just let you go today but don't think you can bully girls because you're tall." She threatened and brushed past her leaving Xavier surprised and angry. This girl was stupid! A nutcase infact! How dare her! He didn't feel like causing a commotion, the day was too beautiful to get angry already but if she dare cross paths with her again.. she'd hate her whole existence and that was a threat.
His bath was ready by the time he got back.
"What the hell happened to you??" Maze asked him immediately she saw him coming in.
"Coffee and a pair of beautiful sea blue eyes." Xavier replied. There was a glint of mischievousness in his eyes that Maze didn't like.
"What do you mean by that?" Maze asked but Xavier totally avoided his question.
"Your donuts are with Sarah,I'm going for my bath." He muttered before attempting to go upstairs.
"Hercules said the man cracked." Maze said and a smile lit up Xavier's face, she could imagine the rush of excitement coursing through his bones.
"Tell him I'll be there by 3." He replied before finally going upstairs. Maze sighed as Sarah walked in with her bag of donuts.

Layla noticed the fact that everyone started buzzing around more than how they did few hours ago that she arrived here.
"What's happening??" She asked a colleague that passed by with a few files.
"What do you think is happening?? The CEO is here." The girl replied and Layla groaned. Just great, it was her first day and the the CEO was coming, she planned on staying back Incase anything something went wrong.
"Why are you still seated??" The girl asked her puzzled.
"Ummm...Am I s'posed to be going somewhere?"
"Yes...the conference room, he's requested to see all newbies from every department."
No! No! No! She couldn't, wouldn't and didn't need to meet the CEO, she was already in a bad mood and meeting the dude in her current mood wasn't going to work out well.
"Thanks...I'll....um....I'll get going." She muttered before leaving towards the conference room. Layla had to give it to the person that came up with the company's design cos it was superb, the whole place looked beautiful and spacious, with a total of 32 storeys the company was top notch, it's facilities incredible.
When Layla arrived at the conference room, most seats were already occupied especially the back seats,with heavy heart she took the one of the front seats, Layla could hear chattering Abt the CEO, tall,handsome guy born into a poor family blah blah blah.....her heart was beating...she had to stand out she had to....and then she heard the door open and everyone fell silent as a young man walked in.
"Hello everyone...I'm Xavier Volkov and.....Coffee??" No no no...just her crude luck as the tall man with dark eyes smirked at her.
"There goes my job." Layla whimpered under her breathe.
