Chapter 2 - Goodbyes

The car door opened and Lily stepped down she made sure her face wasn't seen under the vile and she was going to marry Lucien with no one noticing anything.

"This is it dear, it's time," Marcus said softly, he held her hand as he began to walk her down the aisle. "You don't know how proud I am of you, I wish there was a way I could be able to stop all this but.."

"You don't need to say anything uncle, I know you would look for a way to help me if I was ever in something like this." Lily smiled as she walked with her uncle, she looked up to see the man whom she was going to be spending the rest of her life with.

She didn't know what to say, it was like he was a demigod standing before mortals, his curly white hair covering his head. He had dark emerald eyes that seemed to be staring into her soul even with the veil on.

'Lucien Rosario,' Lily was looking at him, she was not going to let anything intimidate her. She followed her uncle to the altar, she was going to back out at that moment.

Marcus and Lily reached the altar, his heart was clouded with pain as he watched her climb the altar to hold Lucien. Lucien extended his hand, and Lily took it and stood in front of him.

She couldn't look at him, it was hard for her and she wanted to be sure that there was no way he would find out that she was not Vivan.

"Nervous?" Lucien whispered a bit loudly, Lily looked at him she was stunned to hear his voice.

She looked at him and shook her head, "I am fine," Lily replied trying to make sure that he wouldn't ask her more questions.

"Don't worry it will be over soon," Lucien faced the priest, they stood there waiting for him to round up everything and make sure that there was nothing skipped.

The priest reached the vows, and he cleared his throat as he looked at the couple. "Do you Mr. Lucien Rosario take Vivan Forger as your loving wedded wife?"

"I do,"

"Do you Miss Vivan Forger take this man, Lucien Rosario as your husband to be with him through sickness and in health?"

Lily took a little breather, she then said the words. "I do,"

"Then I declare you man and wife, you may kiss the bride." The priest said with a smile on his face.

Lucien turned to Lily, he then unveiled her letting her beautiful white hair lush around. He leaned in and kissed her while holding her by the waist.

The crowd began clapping, everyone was ecstatic that they had finally seen the wedding go down. No one was happier than Marcus and Anna, they were happy that no one could tell that it wasn't Vivan there but Lily.

"This is going well, there is no way I would have imagined that it would work." Marcus was looking at both of them standing by the altar, he couldn't help but feel a bit guilty.

"Marcus, I know it hurts you that she is taking this upon herself but let us respect her decision," Anna said in a calm voice, she was trying to make sure that there was no way he would do anything that would make Lily's sacrifice look like a bust.

Marcus cleared his throat as he looked down to make sure that nothing was going to make him slip up.

"For a moment I thought your family had decided to embarrass us, Marcus,"

Marcus and Anna turned to see Granny Ophelia coming towards them, she had a smile on her face.

"Lady Ophelia, I wouldn't ever think of doing something like that." Marcus put on a fake smile on his face trying to make sure that there was nothing going to make the air feel dense.

"Please you can call me Granny Ophelia now, we are family now after all." Granny Ophelia had a smile on her face, she was looking at Marcus.

"Sure thing Granny Ophelia, it is an honor to be part of your family." Marcus smiled when he was talking to Ophelia trying to make sure that there was nothing wrong going on.

"Yes dear, i know now that it's done we know that there are no debts with family I hope we will have a nice and steady relationship. I did a good day," Ophelia said before leaving both of them, they turned to see Lily coming towards them.

"Oh dear come here," Anna said opening her hands, she hugged Lily. "Thank you for all you have done for us now, you saved us the shame and embarrassment, I hope nothing happens to you."

Lily had a tear roll down her cheek, she was holding her tears back trying to make sure that there was nothing going to make her feel vulnerable there. "I will be fond Aunt Anna, please make sure you take care of uncle for me and also take care of yourself."

"We will be fine," Anna said her voice seemed to be hiding her pain, she was not going to let anything go out of place.

Marcus joined in the hug, he couldn't hold it in anymore. "Take care of yourself, Lily, I know it will be harsh but then you have to make sure he won't harm you."

"I will Uncle," Lily said, they were keeping their voice down trying to make sure that there was no one going to hear them.

They were smiling, they didn't want to let go at that moment but then it had to be done.

"Saying our goodbyes huh?"

They turned to see Lucien standing there, he had a smirk on his face, and from the looks of things he was ready to leave the place.

Marcus was a bit nervous when he saw him there. "Lucien, it's just that we have to.."

"It's okay, I am only taking her to the house not killing her," Lucien smiled as he was looking at them.

Marcus and Anna were filled with fear when they heard what he said. But they didn't know what they were going to do about it.

"Oh please, your daughter is in safe hands. I will be waiting by the car, I will let you say your goodbyes." Lucien said before leaving them.

Marcus and Anna were scared that Lily was going to get hurt, but they didn't do or say anything.

"Don't worry both of you, I will be fine and there is no way he would do anything to hurt me." Lily reassured them, she wanted to make sure that there was no way anything would hurt her.

Marcus and Anna looked at themselves before they gave Lily one last hug before leaving her to walk away and follow Lucien to the car.

Lily walked out to see Lucien talking to a few men who looked like goons, when he spotted Lily coming he signaled them to leave.

"Vivian, are you ready to go?" Lucien asked as he opened the car door, he had a smile on her face.

Lily looked at him and then nodded slightly, she didn't want to waste his time. She walked over and got into the car, Lucien got in and then the driver fired up the engine and began driving them back to the Rosario Mansion.

Lily looked outside the window as she watched as she was leaving everything behind.

'Goodbye Aunty and Uncle, I will make sure I will be strong.' She said in her mind before she relaxed herself.

She noticed that Lucien didn't have much to say to her, it was a quiet ride for about 20 minutes before they came to a stop in front of a huge mansion.

Lily looked at it, she was surprised.

"Wow," she said as the driver opened the door for her to come down, when she came down she was looking at the mansion when Lucien came to her side.

"Shall we head in?" Lucien asked, he looked at her waiting for her to nod.

Lily nodded and followed Lucien into the building, she was a bit shy but then she was now married to the man. Lucien led her to their room, Lily looked around and could see that there was nothing that would make the day bad for her.

"Now go on and make yourself at home," Lucien smiled when he saw that there was a surprised look on Lily's face. He left her and walked over to the drawer.

Lily was still admiring the room, she didn't know what she was worried about Lucien was not the monster they called him.

Lily turned to see that Lucien was walking up to her. She was still nervous not knowing what he was going to do to her.

Lucien stopped in front of her, he leaned in for a hug. Lily didn't want anything to seem odd so she hugged him too.

"You know you can drop the act now, I know you aren't Vivan, now before I kill you I would love to know who you are and what you think you are doing," Lucien said in a cold voice.
