"Where Love Learns to Fly"
The strong winds had made the entire atmosphere pleasant and refreshing.
Whenever the cool breeze brushed against them, it brought an indescribable sense of peace to their hearts.
Looking up at the sky, Richer smiled softly.
"Ramish...
These birds will remain witnesses to our love."
Ramish smiled and nodded in agreement.
Slowly, Richer wrapped his arms around him and whispered,
"Ramish...
Listen carefully to the voices of these birds.
Perhaps they are trying to tell us something..."
Ramish focused on the birds' cheerful chirping. After a few moments, he laughed softly.
"I don't understand a thing they're saying..."
Richer gently pressed his face against Ramish's.
"Now listen..."
The moment their faces touched, Ramish's heartbeat quickened uncontrollably.
In a slightly trembling voice, he asked,
"Then you tell me...
What are they saying?"
Richer rubbed his cheek softly against Ramish's and whispered,
"They're praying...
that no evil eye ever falls upon our love."
A faint blush immediately colored Ramish's cheeks.
And when Richer's warm breath brushed against his face, both of their hearts began beating even faster.
Richer gently kissed his cheek.
The touch sent a wave of electricity through Ramish's entire body.
For a few moments, he completely lost himself in Richer's embrace.
Then he placed both hands on Richer's face and leaned closer with a playful smile.
Richer instantly burst into laughter and ran backward.
"Richer!"
Laughing, Ramish chased after him.
A few steps later, he caught him and pulled him into his arms.
"In this cold weather," he said softly,
"after setting my heart on fire...
why are you running away from me now?"
Richer laughed warmly.
"The stronger the fire of love," he replied,
"the deeper its colors become."
Ramish smiled and complained playfully,
"Oh really?
Then why are you making me suffer like this?
What if I die one day from longing alone in this love?
What kind of restlessness is this?
How am I supposed to explain it to you?
What is happening to me?
How can I make you understand?
When did it happen?
How did it happen?
How can I ever tell you?
Ever since I fell in love with you...
I haven't remained myself anymore.
I've lost all sense of reason.
So tell me, Richer...
what is going to become of me?
At least think about that sometimes..."
Richer's face filled with both amazement and affection.
For several moments, he remained silent.
Then he stepped forward and gently rested his forehead against Ramish's.
"You truly are remarkable, Ramish..."
he whispered.
Nearby, the birds began chirping loudly inside their enclosures,
as though they too were enjoying the beautiful scene before them.
Then Richer leaned closer and kissed him.
Pulling back with a smile, he asked,
"Is there still any restlessness left now?"
Ramish smiled softly.
"Love itself is another name for restlessness, Richer.
When the beloved is out of sight,
the entire soul becomes restless.
And when the beloved stands right before you...
Yet refuses to look at you even once...
It feels as though your very breathing has stopped."
Richer raised an eyebrow mischievously.
"But your beloved is standing right in front of you...
And he hasn't stopped looking at you.
So surely there shouldn't be any restlessness now."
Ramish simply blinked and smiled.
The two of them continued walking together.
A short distance away stood a man with a magnificent bird perched upon his arm.
Visitors were taking turns holding the bird and posing for photographs.
Ramish's eyes lit up instantly.
He stepped forward and carefully allowed the bird to settle on his arm.
The bird sat there quietly,
as though it had known him for years.
Smiling, Ramish called out,
"Come on, Richer...
Take a picture of me with him."
Richer stepped closer.
He raised the camera and took several photographs from only a short distance away.
After lowering the camera, he smiled.
"It seems this bird likes you too..."
Ramish laughed softly.
He looked at the bird for a moment, then lifted his gaze toward the sky.
"Richer...
Do you know something?
This bird can fly incredibly high.
It soars above the clouds themselves..."
Ramish gazed lovingly at the bird perched on his arm before speaking softly,
"You know, Richer...
this bird carries an identity unlike any other.
Countless stories of love have been associated with its name.
It is deeply in love with its ability to soar high."
Richer looked at him thoughtfully.
"Loving great heights is a wonderful thing...
but perhaps one shouldn't fly so high
that they forget their own limits."
A smile spread across Ramish's lips.
"Richer...
when has love ever obeyed limits?
Love flies fearlessly around its beloved.
And while soaring,
it never even realizes
how high it has gone."
Richer studied him carefully.
"Is love truly that fearless?
Does it not fear heights...
or the possibility of falling?"
Ramish let out a soft laugh.
"Doesn't our love answer that question?
If love were not fearless,
Perhaps we would not be standing here together today.
And our love, too,
has a story unlike any other."
A quiet smile appeared on Richer's face.
Then he turned his gaze toward the bird.
"But when I look into its eyes,
I don't see fearlessness.
I see silence."
Ramish lowered his head with a small laugh.
Then he looked toward the sky and replied,
"I think its eyes are silent
because it remembers the heights
where it once flew freely.
The memory of those endless skies
has filled them with sadness.
Just as I used to become sad
when I thought about you."
The moment those words left his lips,
Richer stepped forward without saying anything
and wrapped his arms around him.
For a few moments,
only the whispering wind spoke between them.
Then Ramish lifted his head with a smile.
"Richer...
Whether you speak or not,
Your eyes tell me everything.
They have finally learned
to recognize the heights of love."
A gentle smile touched Richer's lips.
"Perhaps...
they have."
Ramish looked up at the drifting clouds.
"Richer...
I want to spread my wings once more,
just like this bird.
I want to rise above the clouds,
through the endless winds,
and fly with you
higher than I've ever flown before."
Richer laughed softly.
"That sounds wonderful.
But tell me—
Where are those wings of yours now that you can fly?"
Ramish answered immediately,
"My love is not dependent on wings.
As long as I have you beside me,
Every moment of my life is already among the heights.
I don't need wings to fly...
I only need you."
For a moment,
Richer fell silent.
A shimmer of emotion appeared in his eyes.
Then he smiled and said,
"Listening to you today,
it feels like you've become the king of poets."
Ramish laughed.
"And you're the reason behind every poem."
Richer shook his head helplessly,
still smiling.
Then he pointed toward their manager waiting in the distance.
"Come on.
Otherwise our manager will start thinking
we've decided to stay here with the birds forever.
He's been waiting for us for quite a while."
Ramish glanced at the bird one final time.
"Alright...
but remember one thing, Richer—
birds may live inside cages...
love cannot."
Richer gently took his hand.
"And true love...
never loses its way."
They exchanged a warm smile
and continued walking forward hand in hand,
toward the next chapter of their journey.
Behind them,
the birds continued their soft, gentle songs—
as if offering a final farewell
to a love that had learned how to fly beyond every cage,
beyond every fear,
and beyond every horizon. ️
