Arthas wasn't known for his patience, and he generally treated others as they treated him. However, if someone showed him hostility, his retaliation was swift and merciless.
The fallen angel girl, having unilaterally declared Arthas's death sentence, hurled her light spear towards his heart.
She considered this newly-reincarnated human devil no match for her, especially since she wielded light-attribute power, akin to poison for devils.
Victory was assured; she anticipated watching this devil writhe in agony under her light spear.
But to the fallen angel's astonishment, the light, supposedly fatal poison to devils, was grasped by Arthas.
This human she'd dismissed easily caught her thrown light spear?!
"Impossible! You're just a newly-reincarnated, ordinary human!"
"Ah… so this is the power of a fallen angel? It's nothing special."
Looking at the terrified fallen angel in the sky, Arthas smirked, a twisted smile playing on his lips.
He had suppressed it for too long, the guilt and desire that had been building since the Garden of Eden, pushing him towards madness.
Arthas craved a cathartic sexual encounter or brutal slaughter; only that could release the uncontrollable guilt building within him.
"You…" Instinctively sensing danger, the fallen angel attempted to flee, but an indescribably terrifying power pressed down from the sky.
"Waaah…" The girl cried out, her body falling to the ground as if crushed by an invisible hand.
"What did you do?!" The fallen angel was bewildered. She couldn't comprehend how this man could do this. Where did this terrifying power come from?
"Hmm, it wasn't difficult."
With a twisted smile, Arthas walked towards the fallen angel. She was experiencing what he had felt from the White Night-Fork and Azi.
True strength didn't require action; presence and gaze alone could kill.
While Arthas hadn't reached that level, suppressing this fallen angel with his aura was simple.
This fallen angel was simply too weak.
"You… you… you human…" A nameless fear enveloped the fallen angel as Arthas approached.
"Feeling fear?" Arthas raised an eyebrow, stopping before her.
"Don't get cocky, human!" Her beautiful face contorted, and a crimson light spear materialized in her hand.
"I can easily kill an ant like you!" They were incredibly close; with a slight movement, the spear's tip reached Arthas's chest.
Success!
The elation on her contorted face vanished instantly, as the spear stopped, inches from his clothes.
"Did you think I was as weak as that boy you killed?" Arthas sneered, grabbing her neck and lifting her into the air.
"No… don't kill me!" She couldn't understand why this newly-reincarnated human devil possessed such terrifying power.
Her thoughts were muddled; the approach of death forced her to beg for mercy.
A sharp sound tore through the air; black shadows shot towards Arthas.
Intense frost brushed past Arthas's head, freezing the black shadows—black feathers.
More fallen angels?
His gaze shifted; three fallen angels had landed in front of him.
"Release Raynare!" A scantily clad female fallen angel shouted, stepping forward.
"Be careful; he seems to wield a divine artifact."
"Four. Perfect."
These fallen angels had targeted him; they would eventually target Asia. To protect the clumsy nun, Arthas wouldn't leave any survivors.
After all… fallen angels and devils were natural enemies.
Holding Raynare high with one hand, the ominous frost spread from the other, and a sharp, jet-black greatsword materialized.
"A divine artifact!"
"A reincarnated devil who can summon a divine artifact?! Dangerous… Waaaaah!" Before the warning could finish, a bloodcurdling scream erupted from the fallen angel.
"Save me! Save me!" Enveloped in the calamitous frost, the fallen angel screamed in terror as she froze from the feet up. Her two companions dared not approach, only watching in pale horror as their companion turned to ice.
What kind of divine artifact was this? Why did looking at the frost induce a primal shudder?
"Run!"
The only male fallen angel looked at his terrified female companions, spread his wings, and took flight.
Realizing the power difference, he had no intention of fighting.
"Transik, you bastard!" Enraged, Raynare roared at her fleeing companions.
"S… sorry, Raynare-sama." Another female fallen angel said before turning to flee.
"Mitirute, you too…" Before Raynare could finish, Arthas violently threw her aside. Her body tumbled like a rag doll, crashing near the fountain.
"Looks like you fallen angels aren't so united." Watching the two fallen angels flee, Arthas smirked sarcastically at Raynare.
"Don't get cocky! They'll report to higher-ranking fallen angel commanders. Someone wielding such a powerful divine artifact—the fallen angel commanders won't let you grow. You'll be their top priority!"
Knowing escape was impossible, Raynare defiantly threatened Arthas.
