Souna continued her explanation, while Arthas wisely remained silent.

Let the girls indulge in their own deductions; any further words from him might reveal too much.

After some more hesitant discussion, the only certainty was that Arthas had officially become their familiar, one with four days of control, the other with three.

Arthas could only touch his nose and offer a wry smile; his words wouldn't matter. The devil world was strictly hierarchical, especially the master-familiar relationship. A master's orders were absolute and could not be disobeyed.

However, for now, the girls' attitudes were quite favorable. As they'd said, they treated him like family.

"Family…"

Arthas murmured involuntarily, causing Rias to turn her head curiously.

"Arthas, what did you say?"

"Nothing."

"Arthas, you don't have a place to stay yet, so stay at my place for now."

Rias suggested, immediately met with Souna's objection.

"Why should he stay at your place? My place is better."

"Better how? I don't see it!"

Rias protested, and just as the two girls were about to start arguing again, Arthas interjected with a wry smile.

"How about this? Since you, Rias, already have one more day of control over me than Souna, I'll stay at Souna's place for now. Of course, when I get tired of it, I can go stay at your place for a few days."

"Fine… since you said so, Arthas."

Rias thought for a moment, then nodded.

She'd have more time with Arthas anyway, and this generosity would earn her a favor from Souna.

Why not?

Souna's expression was also unnatural. Although she'd succeeded in her efforts, she seemed to owe Rias a favor.

How troublesome… but oh well. It's only fair. Rias had spent eight pieces, and perhaps she'd been a bit demanding.

After reaching a consensus, Rias left Souna's house, and Souna began tidying up.

The entire house was damp because of Arthas's frost. Fortunately, water magic was Souna's specialty, so cleaning up didn't take much effort.

"You can stay in this room."

After assigning Arthas a room, Souna began preparing some things.

"Do you have any identification documents? Since you've become our familiar, you'll naturally have to attend Kuoh Academy. That's our main base."

"Um, I didn't bring them. They're in my bag, but…"

"It's fine if it's lost. It's not a big deal, just a little troublesome."

Souna said nonchalantly. As student council president of Kuoh Academy, such a small problem wouldn't trouble her.

"Let's skip it for today. You just underwent reincarnation, and you'll need time to get used to your body and power. You're not the same as before. Tomorrow, I'll take you to Kuoh Academy to familiarize yourself with the place. For now, get some rest."

Souna said, and Arthas nodded. After traveling between worlds, he was indeed tired.

"I've become a devil?"

The only thing that concerned Arthas was the devil reincarnation ritual. According to the girls, he was now a devil.

Devils weren't rare in Little Garden; they weren't as powerful as legends suggested.

Arthas couldn't determine if he had truly become a devil. Perhaps he'd never known what he was from the start.

A human? Impossible. No human could wield such powerful frost magic.

A god? Perhaps… he remembered Hestia mentioning the power within him. Since it couldn't be identified by a god, it could only be a power possessed by another god.

Or… had he become a devil?

Chuckling wryly, Arthas clenched his fist. None of that mattered. What mattered was that he was still himself.

Human or devil, he only needed to remember what he wanted and what he needed to do.

He would obtain the power and the things that belonged to him, proving himself to Azi and earning the right to know the truth.

The truth of the past, the missing gaps in his memory.

It might not be pleasant, but it was still a part of him. Without retrieving it, he would never be whole.

Arthas felt incomplete, missing a piece of himself. Perhaps, after recovering his past, he would find the answer.

Sitting alone in his room, thinking this, fatigue washed over him, and Arthas fell into a deep sleep.

Meanwhile, after Arthas entered his room, Souna prepared his transfer documents, including replacement identification.

Looking at the stack of documents, Souna's face flushed slightly. If anyone were present, they would see that her blush was purely from guilt.

The reason was simple: Souna had listed Arthas as her younger brother.

And in the name section, she'd written Shitori Arthas.

"You can't blame me. Blame your own carelessness, Rias. Remember, we're still rivals. Although Arthas is our shared familiar, when our ranking games begin, the choice of who to help will be Arthas's alone."

Souna knew she would eventually clash with Rias, and Arthas's decision would give one a decisive advantage over the other.
