Despite revealing their commonality's dire situation, far from being abandoned, their bonds deepened, filling Kuro Usagi with immense satisfaction. This feeling, however, was short-lived.
"Wait, wait, wait?! What? How could you so casually agree to the Gift Game?! And why did you provoke the leader of 'Fores Garo' so quickly?! The competition is tomorrow?! And we have to fight on their turf?! What were you thinking?! I'm asking you again, young ladies!!"
Meeting at the fountain square at sunset, after hearing the explanation, Kuro Usagi, initially excited, became furious, her rabbit ears twitching. She launched into a lecture and interrogation about this sudden development.
"It couldn't be helped. Those scum were asking for a beating." Kudou Asuka shrugged nonchalantly at Kuro Usagi's outburst.
Kasukabe Yō remained silent, holding her calico cat.
"Seriously… you bunch of problem children!"
An enraged Kuro Usagi pulled out her folding fan and delivered a swift blow to Kudou Asuka.
"And Young Master Jin! Why didn't you stop them?!"
"I wanted to… but…"
Jin, the current leader of the nameless commonality, offered a wry, helpless smile. Things had happened too quickly.
While it was true that Jald Baath, the leader of the 'Fores Garo' commonality, had initiated the provocation, Kudou Asuka and Kasukabe Yō had escalated the verbal conflict into a physical one.
"Aaaaaah, what do we do now? We finally summoned new members, solved the water problem, and were about to start developing, and now we've provoked such a powerful commonality?!" At a streetside drink shop, Kuro Usagi slumped into a chair, pulling at her hair in despair.
"What's to be afraid of? The contract's signed, let's just beat them. Those kinds of scum deserve a good lesson." Kudou Asuka nonchalantly shook the contract.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the two young ladies' performance." Sakamaki Izayoi grinned mischievously.
"How can you be so casual?! You're all members of the same commonality! You should help each other!"
"This is different." Sakamaki Izayoi wagged a finger at Kuro Usagi. "Listen, they started this fight. They accepted the challenge. If I interfere now, wouldn't that be unsportsmanlike?"
"Interesting, you know the rules well. That doesn't quite match your initial self-introduction." Kudou Asuka tossed her hair, smiling approvingly at Sakamaki Izayoi's answer.
Arthas, who had been silent, finally spoke, slowly posing his question.
"What kind of commonality is this 'Fores Garo'?"
"Ah, they're under the upper-level Demon Lord commonality, 'Six Hundred Sixty-Six Beasts.' Like our nameless commonality, they're in the East District, Little Garden 2105380 Outer Gate. They're one of the strongest in the East District. Provoking them is definitely not a good idea."
"Wait… 2105380 Outer Gate? Are there really that many commonalities in the Outer Gate with seven-digit numbers?!"
Startled by the number, Arthas asked in surprise.
"Yes, indeed. Kuro Usagi said it before, the entire Little Garden is unimaginably vast. The Little Garden has seven layers, and our nameless commonality is in the lowest layer, 2105380 Outer Gate. The lower the number of the Outer Gate, the stronger the commonality."
"So, our commonality is ranked 2,105,380th in the entire Little Garden?"
Sakamaki Izayoi asked. Kuro Usagi shook her head awkwardly.
"No… it's far more than that, because one Outer Gate can't have only one commonality."
"Aaaaaah… that's a pretty hopeless ranking."
"Indeed…"
Even Arthas, who had been nonchalant, offered a wry smile.
"Ugh… I'm sorry."
Kuro Usagi bowed her head again, her rabbit ears drooping.
"Well… don't think about that. Let's think of something positive."
"Yes, thanks to Arthas-sama, we defeated the water god and won this water sapling. Now we don't have to worry about water resources for the commonality anymore." Kuro Usagi hugged the small sapling, pressing it to her face.
"Really? Is this the water god's sapling?!"
Jin showed excitement.
"Yes, that's right. Young Master Jin, please head back. Since the Gift Game is tomorrow, we must go to 'Thousand Eyes' for Gift appraisal. And we need to store the water tree somewhere safe."
"'Thousand Eyes,' is that also a commonality's name?"
Arthas and the others asked, and Kuro Usagi nodded vigorously.
"YES. 'Thousand Eyes' is a commonality centered around those with special 'eye' Gifts. It's a huge commercial commonality spanning all areas of the Little Garden, from top to bottom, east to west. Luckily, there's a branch nearby."
"What's Gift appraisal?"
"It's appraising the abilities and origins of a Gift. Only by correctly understanding your abilities can you maximize their potential. You're all curious about the origins of your powers, right?"
The group set off for the 'Thousand Eyes' branch.
On the way, Arthas and the others were amazed by the various sights of this wondrous world, far beyond anything they could imagine in their own worlds. The strange, non-human creatures similar to Kuro Usagi alone amazed them for a long time.
"Alright! We're here!" Kuro Usagi suddenly stopped.
"Is this the 'Thousand Eyes' headquarters?" Arthas looked up. Before them stood an unremarkable shop. A blue banner hung above the door, depicting two goddesses facing each other. This must be the "Thousand Eyes" banner.
But as Kuro Usagi was about to take Arthas and the others inside, the female employee in an apron standing under the sign stopped her.
"I'm sorry, but we are not currently open, so you cannot enter."
