Chapter 150
Beginning
Emerald wakes up after having a nightmare of being trapped somewhere in the woods and seeing the face of Ares' twin and hearing her say time is running out. She wakes up in a sweat to noise. They'd transported Rick as she asked but he was proving difficult. She goes out to see him. Kieran and Lucien are already there.
They needed to keep him close because his mistress was on the loose and they couldn't risk her seeing him loose. Rick tries to get closer. The mates step in the way.
Rick is dragged off just as the delegates begin to arrive and Emerald leaves to get ready. Adrien and Seraphina arrive alongside everyone else. The tension is undeniable because of what happened between them. They greet cordially. Lucien and Kieran try to get a sense of Adrien and why he just randomly changed his mind.
