Crystal Foster noticed that after the birthday party, Otto seemed different. It was as if he had suddenly shed his mature demeanor and reverted to the clingy Otto he used to be. While Crystal was happy about Otto's change, she was also a bit puzzled.
Martin Riley wrapped an arm around Crystal's shoulder, offering comfort. "It's good that Otto's changing. Haven't you always thought he was too mature for his age?"
"That's true, but don't you think his change was a bit too sudden? I'm just a little worried," Crystal replied, playfully punching Martin's chest. "You're Otto's dad, after all. Can't you show a bit more concern for him?"
"And I'm your husband, aren't I? How about showing me some concern too?" Martin teased, gently pinching Crystal's chin and giving her a quick kiss, his tone carrying a hint of playful grievance.
Crystal's face flushed red, but she didn't press the issue about Otto any further. As Martin had said, Otto's change was a good thing.
