Mana.
It's the energy used by magicians.
Normally, this energy is distinguished from other supernatural energies.
At... least, that's what Gorou thought before.
After evolving the Yuuki Kagurazaka model a bit, he slightly changed his mind about mana.
Mana isn't an energy distinct from ki (vital energy) or spiritual energy, but an agglomeration of energies emitted by life forms.
All energies, like spiritual energy, ki, psychic and others, are just facets of mana.
A simple evolutionary path that a race took for various reasons, like weak potential in raw magical arts.
There's also a potential problem related to world laws, but in the end, mana remains a more complete and complex energy.
Why is this topic suddenly mentioned?
The reason is simple.
Gorou plans to train his ki and magic more intensely, after obtaining a good portion of the desired resources from universe 7.
All he has left is conquest.
Apart from Earth, which he can obtain at any time, the other planets won't be easy to conquer.
He needs great personal strength and an elite army to lead the charge, since he can't be in several places at once for now.
Gorou must train and cultivate his elites right now.
"Nancy, I don't want to be disturbed for the next few days," declared Gorou, after bringing back several Hoi-Poi capsules containing food and water.
"Uh... yes, but aren't you exhausted after your wish?" asked the green-haired assistant.
Gorou refuted her words:
"Not really, and that's unimportant now, 'cause I'll have plenty of rest time inside," he replied, after taking a capsule containing a decent laboratory.
Nancy was confused by Gorou's actions, but she nodded to show her support for her master's decision.
Shortly after, the time chamber activated in the Millennium's basement.
Without hesitation, Gorou entered it with calm steps.
"Don't forget, open the capsule after five days."
Five days.
A seemingly mundane number, but one that made Nancy nervous after hearing it.
'I... I won't see him again for five days... but the supreme guide won't see me for five years...' she thought, hiding her inner turmoil.
Exactly.
The time chamber makes time flow faster inside than outside.
This element accelerated Shenron's recharge, but that's not the only functionality Gorou had found for this machine.
'Let's speed up the New Men project and my personal training a bit...' he thought while setting up his things in the metallic space.
Unlike Kami's Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Gorou's machine doesn't have terrain larger than Earth.
However, he was able to exploit Hoi-Poi capsule technology to expand the interior.
Thus, a machine the size of an ordinary house now possessed an interior space as vast as an island.
'Everything's normal, I can start,' he said in a small monologue, after taking a breath from the CO₂ recycling system obtained from Goku's spaceship.
...
One year later.
Gorou had spent a year in the Time Chamber, after making his wish to Shenron.
Thanks to [Great Sage], he had already absorbed all the scientific knowledge from universe 7 that Shenron had given him.
As for martial and magical knowledge, he had assimilated a good portion of it.
Gorou needed more time, since he had an enormous amount of knowledge to assimilate in these vast subjects.
Of course, he had prioritized the martial arts of the Turtle and Crane schools.
He also possessed all the emblematic magic that the DBZ universe could offer.
Unfortunately, he had found neither Moro's magic nor the Kaioshin's magic in the books offered by Shenron.
The only explanation for this phenomenon is that Moro and the Kaioshin had created their magic themselves, or that it has too powerful an origin.
Since Shenron wasn't powerful enough to tear this knowledge from them, he couldn't offer it to Gorou.
A regrettable situation.
"Still, I'll need at least four more years to perfectly master all of this."
[Great Sage] could absorb knowledge and allow him to use it immediately.
Yet, he still had to engrave the experience in these different domains into his body.
Knowing and having real experience are two different things, after all.
He wanted to avoid ending up one day like Kaguya from the Naruto universe.
A person possessing a vast range of powers, but without much combat experience.
She ended up being surpassed by tactics and tricks, because she had never faced adversaries like ninjas.
A case similar to Frieza on Namek.
He swore only by brute force, but Goku's martial arts ended up damaging him severely.
"Great Sage, how many units have I reached?"
The unit is the power measurement that extraterrestrials use to evaluate an individual's strength.
This element from the DBZ universe is evaluated thanks to a device called a scouter.
Gorou doesn't need that, since he studied the scouter inside Goku's ship after receiving it from General Blue's hand.
He simply uses the additional skill [Analytical Appraisal] with [Great Sage]'s knowledge on the subject.
[You have 204 units]
'...Pitiful,' he thought after removing the gravitational force that his magic was exerting on him.
204 units represent a strength superior to Kami's, but that remains insignificant on universe 7's scale.
After all, the power necessary to destroy the Moon isn't sufficient in this reality.
He left his spot after putting away his sports equipment weighing tons, then walked toward the laboratory.
After a moment, he reached several capsules filled with an unknown greenish liquid with teenagers inside.
Finally, he stopped in front of a particular capsule.
"Hehe, I really played the sorcerer's apprentice this time"
In the nutritive liquid, there was a woman with pink skin and gray hair.
She possessed extraterrestrial beauty, accentuated by the pink tail coming out of her back.
Unfortunately, she gave off an elusive mystical presence and an extremely powerful aura, something that could discourage any overexcited pervert.
[Affirmative, I still think that subject "Vomi" is too dangerous according to my analysis]
(Image)
"*sigh*, you shouldn't take things too seriously, my friend..."
Gorou, still shirtless with various scars due to rigorous training, spread his arms in a dramatic pose.
"Science mustn't be restricted, my dear Great Sage, it must be liberated and understood, haha!" he said while pushing out a maniacal laugh.
The next words from the unique skill calmed him immediately.
[Master... she currently has immeasurable strength compared to your current level, and you created her using Dr. Gero's wife's DNA as a base.]
[Just this last element guarantees intelligence high enough to inhibit the stupidity and destructive instincts of Buu's DNA.
Of course, this will remain to a certain extent.]
Although Buu is stronger than Kami at his peak, Shenron was able to obtain his genetic material, because he's much more weakened than Moro in his sealed form.
Unfortunately, Gorou is too weak for now.
This is how project Vomi was put on pause and cryogenized before ending up in a Hoi-Poi Capsule.
After this unfortunate event, the legion project was placed as absolute priority in place of Vomi.
It took only a few weeks for the Saiyan embryos from the legion project to show correct and controllable potential.
Gorou could even impose Babidi's mind control emblem on the Saiyans, unlike the Vomi project.
All he has left is to slowly guide the nascent Saiyan children to make them into good little soldiers.
"Fortunately there's no law against sequestration and slavery of aliens."
'The God Emperor would be proud,' he concluded mentally.
[... Sometimes, I really wonder if you're joking or if you're serious, host.]
Gorou didn't respond to his skill, but left to follow his daily training after glancing at the time.
