Kai swallowed, looking at Sylas. Then he lowered his gaze. "I-I will do anything to protect and serve my Master."
Adrien cleared his throat again. "You shouldn't call him Master. I told you, you're no longer a slave."
Kai looked at Adrien, then looked down again. He wasn't used to it yet. But Sylas had told him to call him by his name when they were alone.
Dinner ended. Adrien simply told Sylas that he no longer needed to hide their relationship.
"As long as you know what you are doing and what your duties are as the future king, go ahead. You don't need to hide it. Princess Eresia must know from the beginning that Kai will be your concubine," said Adrien.
Sylas nodded. "Yes, Your Majesty. I will remember your words."
He still couldn't believe that Adrien approved of Kai. Was he dreaming? His strict father had accepted Kai?
Even so, he was grateful. He no longer had to hide Kai or fear that his father would do something to kill the young man.
