"You should check Victoria too!" Cassandra suddenly yelled, her voice sharp and trembling with anger as her finger stabbed the air, pointing directly at Victoria.
"Check her?" Damien finally chimed in, his arms folded tightly across his broad chest. His lips curled into a scoff, his tone dripping with disdain. "Hasn't she already been checked before?"
"I don't believe whatever so-called examination that first doctor performed on her!" Cassandra snapped, her words erupting with barely restrained fury. Her chest rose and fell rapidly, her glare locked on Victoria as if daring her to deny it.
