Chapter 21 - 21: Forming Gielinor

There were no records of it. Of the truth hidden in ancient history that went beyond the knowledge of its inhabitants...

It all happened in a moment. Far from Earth and the home of the Time Lords, an impossible being planted a seed. This impossible being knew of how far the Time Lord flew all over the universe and how much farther they would go, yet planted an entire planet in a place none of their kind had dared to go.

In the original story, the world was created by the Elder Gods. An empty world meant to be their most perfect creation and their last...

In the core of the universe, beyond even Planet One where Eleven would take Amy Pond, there lay a new planet. It lay hidden in a veil stronger than any technology could pierce through. A veil made of impossible energies.

Events moved on. From the time of the Colossi to the end of the Dragonkin, this planet knew little. It was only through the actions of a lonely god without a home that set into motion events that shaped the world itself...

This veil cut off this world from the rest of the universe, but it was not without its function. This impossible being knew that, in time, the Wandering God would find it. The Oncoming Storm would eventually find this world full of magic and gods, but this would also bring into attention the human race themselves.

From the time of this lonely God's arrival to his slumber, the world knew peace. After he slept, war would slowly trickle in. Empires would rise and fall...

The impossible being knew what problems the natives of Earth would bring with them should they discover this world, so he created safeguards. The first was Harold Death Esquire who would govern the cycle of life and death of this planet. He would also look over the Underworld and mind the City of Um.

As time passed and the fall of the Zarosian Empire gave way to the God Wars, the world knew what war and death felt. Blood, death, fire, rage, and fear consumed the mainland...

He then created Zaros and Seren who would then shape their own slice of the planet. Zaros would play out what he did in the game by creating the Zarosian Empire and fall to Zamorak when he was stabbed with the Staff of Armadyl. Seren would give rise to the elves under her care and leave the ancient city of Prifddinas at the north-western corner of the mainland.

When Guthix woke and stopped the God Wars, peace inevitably returned. Humans and other mortals were left to rebuild a war-scarred land and eventually give rise to their own Empires...

He knew that this world would give the Doctor and their companions endless adventures. He knew that this world would allow the Time Lord to recover from the horrors of the Time War, yet this impossible being was not yet done constructing the tale of Gielinor.

As the first Wizard's Tower burnt and the next rose in its place, it would inevitably bring into place the return of rune essence to the wider world. It would also lead into the theory of a particular wizard that the supply of Anima to the rune altars was not infinite and the discovery of the RuneSpan...

The impossible being knew that he had to create the world he knew with great care. He made sure to put the pieces together so that Gielinor would naturally catch up to its current age, yet only with a few alterations. This time, he made it a law of this universe in where he was in trouble or if Gielinor was under threat, the inhabitants were allowed to fight against his enemies.

Yet, in this version, the story had changed so only a select few knew the truth. The universe they knew was intentionally made by someone more powerful than the Elder Gods. Someone with the power to control and generate Anima infinitely made their world and its laws intentionally...

This is the story of the impossible being creating a whole new universe within another. A parallel pocket universe where Time flows under the laws of Anima Mundi. Where magic is favored more than technology, yet technology is allowed to persist.

It is also the story where an entire universe is poised and ready to face events far beyond what they understood. Daleks, Cybermen, renegade Time Lords, and all other enemies of the Doctor would fear the name of Gielinor and its inhabitants.

The only reason why the truth is known to these select few is hardly unknown. It is because they were granted a great trust from this impossible being and we're permitted to learn it. It is never written down in the history books nor is it told by those who have passed, yet all who knew understood that trust had been given. It was only fair they returned that trust with silence...

Even as the seed had been planted and events began to naturally take shape, the impossible being understood that there was still one last thing to settle with this new world. He enabled two things to happen. One was the natural formation of the World Guardian character from the game—the one destined to save Gielinor many times in their life and unable to stay dead while this purpose is being fulfilled—and the other was a single permission granted.

This permission was all that was needed for its intended recipient, but only after a certain event was completed in its entirety.

Now, as the world's history played out, the impossible being understood that all he could now was wait. For the world of Gielinor was being formed far from the sight of many who would seek to conquer it or destroy it. Not even the strength of the Pantheon, who are native to this universe, would be enough to pierce the veil without being granted permission.

Thus, the impossible being returned to Earth in his Voidship with new creations in mind and a safe haven for people to live in. Everything was set to begin once it was all ready.
