Chapter 12 - Adventurers Guild

After finishing school, Akira went to the Adventurer's Guild to register as an adventurer. Once registered, Akira was placed in Class Rank F. In the guild, there are several Class Ranks: Rank F, Rank E, Rank D, Rank C, Rank B, Rank A, Rank S, Rank SS, and the highest, Rank SSS. Later, Akira met Aya and chatted with her at a restaurant.

"After school, I want to register as an adventurer at the guild!" Akira said with excitement.

"Yoshhh, time to go to the Adventurer's Guild!"

A few minutes later

"Finally, I've arrived at the Adventurer's Guild," Akira said.

"Excuse me, I'd like to register as an adventurer."

"Alright, let me introduce myself. My name is Yuna. I'm the receptionist here and also the one in charge of adventurer registrations and handing out quests. Nice to meet you," Yuna said politely.

"Please fill out the registration form accordingly."

Registration Form:

Name:

Age:

Residence:

Energy:

Level (optional):

Parents' names (optional):

"Alright. Name: Akira Takahashi. Age: 13. Residence: Elysium Village. Energy: Light. Level: 20 (I'd better hide my true level). Parents' names: not filled." Akira said.

Yuna took Akira's form and went to the data storage room.

"Please wait a moment," Yuna said.

"Alright," Akira replied.

"Here's your card, Akira. Your Rank is currently Class F," Yuna explained.

"In this guild, there are various ranks: Rank F, Rank E, Rank D, Rank C, Rank B, Rank A, Rank S, Rank SS, and Rank SSS," Yuna continued, explaining the rank system.

"You can rank up by completing quests, from the easiest to the hardest."

"Alright, thank you for explaining," Akira said with confidence.

"Do your best!" Yuna smiled.

Akira left the guild and unexpectedly ran into Aya. Aya invited him to have a meal together at Starlit Hall Tavern. While eating, Aya asked about magic books and Akira's level. She was suspicious of Akira because during the Magic Academy arena exam, when he fought Mio, he displayed incredible skills. Aya then asked him about Eternal Guardian and Eclipse Cataclysm.

"Hello Aya, good evening," Akira greeted.

"Hello Akira, good evening to you too," Aya replied.

"I'd like to invite you to the Starlit Hall Tavern. You can order anything you want thereit's really good. Also… I want to ask you something," Aya said with a smile.

"Ehh!? Aya invited me to that elite restaurant… and she wants to ask me something!?" Akira thought nervously.

"Alright, I'll accept your offer, Aya," Akira said with a smile.

"Great, let's go," Aya replied.

"Sure," Akira answered.

A few minutes later.

The waiter arrived and asked for their order.

"Welcome, please choose your meal," the waiter said.

"I'll have Yakimeshi," Akira said.

"I'll have Yakimeshi as well," Aya said.

"Huh!? The same as me?? Well, I guess it's fine. This almost feels like I'm on a date with Aya…" Akira thought to himself.

"Alright, please wait a moment," the waiter said.

"So Akira, what kind of magic book are you studying, and what's your level?" Aya asked.

"I'm studying the Celestial Grimoire, Level 100—for now, hehe," Akira answered.

"Wha…!? You're studying a level 100 magic book even though you're only level 20? Where did you even get a level 100 book!?" Aya exclaimed in shock and confusion.

"Hehe, sorry. I found that magic book in a secret place. Also, I hide my true level—I purposely conceal it from everyone," Akira admitted.

"I see… I'll keep your secret then. Only the two of us will know, Akira," Aya said, laughing softly.

"Thank you," Akira replied with a smile.

"Still… I'm curious about your true level. Someday, I'll find out," Aya thought to herself.

The waiter brought the food, and Akira and Aya ate together. After finishing, Aya asked about Akira's skills.

"By the way, Akira, I wanted to ask about the Eternal Guardian and Eclipse Cataclysm skills. How did you get them?" Aya asked.

"Those skills depend on my level. In my status window, there are five skills: Chrono Reversal, Eternal Guardian, Eclipse Cataclysm, Lux Lumina, and Flamma Ignis. But whether I can use them depends on my level. Honestly… my true level is already quite high, hehe," Akira explained.

"I unlocked all of those skills when I was nine years old."

"So that's how it is… wow, Akira, you must really be high-level. That's amazing," Aya laughed lightly.

"Thanks for the meal. I should head back now, it's getting late," Akira said.

"Yes, I should head back as well. See you later, Akira-kun," Aya said.

"See you!!" Akira waved.

Akira returned to the inn and went to sleep.
