One day,
On the fourth day of school, Akira was almost late for class. The events of the previous day were so tiring that he overslept, and Akira was still sleepy.
"The bell rang, it was time for class."
This time, Teacher Miyuki was here to teach all the students how to make Mana Potions and Heal Potions. The teacher explained the process:
Mana Potion:
1. Base Ingredients: Distilled water or water from a magical source.
2. Additional Ingredients: Rare flowers or leaves with high magical energy.
3. Process: The mixture is then heated over a magical flame until it boils. After that, the mixture is poured into an empty bottle and allowed to cool.
4. Properties: This mana potion can be used to restore magical energy or strengthen one's magical abilities.
Heal Potion:
1. Base Ingredients: Distilled water or water from a medicinal source.
2. Additional Ingredients: Herbs or natural ingredients with healing properties.
3. Process: The mixture of ingredients is heated over a medical flame until it boils. After that, the mixture is poured into an empty bottle and allowed to cool.
4. Properties: This healing potion can be used to heal wounds or restore the health of anyone who consumes it.
Akira had previously made mana and healing potions when I was 9 years old in Lumina Forest, and gathered medicinal plants to make potions.
"What time is it? I just woke up. I need to take a quick shower and I'm almost late for school," Akira said.
"Luckily I'm not late at all. I'm about to get to class," Akira thought to himself.
"Ugh, I'm still sleepy. Is it because I slept so tired from fighting Mio?"
"What's wrong with you, Akira? You've been up all night, I see?" Aya said, slightly annoyed.
"There's no way I could have stayed up all night. I'm just so tired that I can't wake up," Akira said to himself.
"I didn't stay up late, Aya. I just slept so tired that it was hard to wake up. You need to get enough sleep," Akira said.
"Oh, so that's how it is, okay," Aya said.
"The bell rang, it's time for class."
"Okay, students, today we will learn how to make Mana and Heal Potions," said Teacher Miyuki.
"Making Potions is important for fighting enemies and monsters."
"So, use Potions at the right moments, and don't rush into drinking them, understand?!"
"All students understand!"
"The process for making Mana Potions: Prepare distilled water or magical spring water, pick flowers or leaves with high magical energy, mix the ingredients, then heat them over a magical flame until they boil. After that, pour the mixture into an empty bottle and let it cool.
The concept for making Heal Potions is almost the same as Mana Potions. Take medicinal herbs or natural ingredients with healing properties." Teacher Miyuki explained how to make mana and health potions.
"Do you understand!?"
"Everyone understands, Miss."
"Everyone, it's time for Mana and Healing Potion making. Let's go to the Alchemy Laboratory!!" said the teacher.
All students headed to the laboratory.
Tap!! Tap!! Tap!!
In the laboratory, all students tried to make Mana and Healing Potions. Akira Aya Kaito Mio tried her hand at making one. "Teacher Miyuki, if you succeed, you will pass this test of Mana and Healing Potion making. I'm proud of you."
"Akira, have you ever made a Mana and Healing Potion before?" Aya asked Akira.
"Okay, yes, I made one when I was 9 years old, hehe. I was alone in the forest, and there were lots of medicinal herbs," Akira replied.
"Wow, you're amazing! Teach me, hehehe," Aya said happily.
"Okay, I'll teach you," Akira said happily.
"Akiira, I accidentally overheard your conversation with Aya. Teach me too, hehehe," Kaito said.
"You too, Kaito!?" Akira said.
"Shhh, don't be too loud, Akira, you'll get caught," Kaito said.
"Hehe, sorry, okay, I'll teach you too, Kaito," Akira said.
"Tch, I'm so lazy to make Mana and Heal Potions. I'd rather go to the cafeteria to eat," Mio said.
"Okay, students, if you run to the cafeteria or can't follow this lesson, please go to the field and run 10 laps," the teacher said.
"All the students were shocked, ma'am!"
Akira successfully made Mana and Heal Potions, Aya succeeded, Kaito succeeded, and the other students had 23 successes, 7 failures. If a student failed, it was okay; they didn't have to run on the field, but they were warned to practice making Mana and Heal Potions again.
However, Mio went to the cafeteria without attending class, and the teacher punished her by forcing her to run on the field.
"The bell rang, it was time for recess."
Akira, Aya, and Kaito went to the cafeteria and ate together while discussing the Magic Academy arena. Today, Aya and Kaito were testing the students' abilities. Whoever lasted the longest in the arena would be the winner.
Akira thought that if Aya had more mana, she would have the upper hand, using skills continuously. However, she didn't have any skills that dealt significant damage. Her fire skills dealt only minimal damage. Kaito, a swordsman, possessed strong physical abilities and possessed skills that dealt significant damage, allowing him to hit opponents with close-range attacks.
So, Aya had to fight by dodging Kaito's attacks. If he hit her, Aya would use her healing skill.
"The bell rang. It's time to go to the Magic Academy Arena."
This time, Master Ryu continued the students' lesson, testing their abilities in one-on-one duels. Aya and Kaito faced each other. Master Ryu had already explained the duel between a healer and a swordsman. The duel was timed to 30 minutes.
"Haha... Alright, students, we'll head to the Magic Academy Arena to continue yesterday's lesson," said Teacher Ryu.
"All students are ready!"
"This time, Aya will face Kaito, a Healer versus a swordsman, hahaha," said the teacher.
"Students, ehm, why is this teacher laughing so hard? I'm scared?" said Student NPC 1.
"Hmm, teacher, this must be on purpose, a Healer versus a swordsman!" Akira thought to himself.
"Eh, was Teacher Ryu messing with me, huh?! Because he looked so happy and laughed at me!" Aya thought to herself.
"Oh my gosh, how am I supposed to fight him? I wanted to get to know him, but instead, I'm dueling him!" Kaito thought to himself.
"Should I pretend to be weak so Aya can win this match?"
"Mio Tchhh, Kaito will definitely win. He's the greatest swordsman in the kingdom. How could he lose to a Healer? Kaito's skills deal quite a lot of damage," Mio said.
"Are you ready, Aya, Kaito!?" Master Ryu said.
"Ready!" Aya said confidently.
"Ready!" Kaito said confidently too.
"Prepare... And START!" Master Ryu shouted.
"All students, woooowww, the match has begun."
"Students, who will win this time? Aya or Kaito?" asked NPC Student 2.
"Probably Kaito, since he's the renowned strongest swordsman in the kingdom," replied NPC Student 3.
"Yeah, it could be, but Aya is level 70 and a high-level Healer in the Adventurer's Guild. It's possible she could also win against him." NPC Student 2's Response
"All the students are cheering for Aya, and some are also cheering for Kaito."
"Wow, haha, the match has already started, hehe. There are also a lot of supporters, Aya and Kaito are evenly matched," Akira thought to himself.
"Eh... I'm not sure who to support. It's better to support both of them, hehehe," Akira thought to himself.
"Good luck, Aya!! Good luck, Kaito!!" Akira said.
The two had evenly matched supporters. Kaito approached Aya with a close-range attack, but Aya managed to dodge his attack.
Aya had trained a lot with Master Ryu because at that time, Master Ryu used a sword, and Aya had to try to avoid his attacks. Thanks to Master Ryu, I was able to do it, and the other Master taught me.
"Everyone saw Kaito, wow, approaching Aya with a close-range attack, but Aya managed to dodge it."
"That's my student. I'm teaching the principal's daughter, even though she's actually the principal's daughter. The principal and I are close friends. She was my teammate when I was young and an adventurer.
I'll teach the principal's daughter a little of my knowledge: how to avoid close-range attacks using swords and other things," said Master Ryu.
"Eeee, Aya's amazing, she managed to dodge my attack, hehe, thank God!" Kaito said in his mind.
"Thank you, Master Ryu, for teaching me how to survive against enemies at close range," Aya said in her mind.
"Wow, Aya's amazing, she managed to dodge Kaito's attack. Did she also channel light energy into her eyes? Hmm, I don't think so," Akira said.
"There's 20 minutes left."
"Yoshh, time to try my skill, Moonlight Slash," Kaito said in his mind.
"Moonlight Slash!!!" Kaito said.
"Divine Blessing!!!" Aya said.
Slash!!!
Sreekk!!
Aya managed to block Kaito's Moonlight Slash attack, but her protective skill drained quite a bit of mana. Aya's total mana was 7k, which was reduced to 3k by using Divine Blessing. Kaito wanted to use another skill, but decided against it when he saw Aya in slight pain, perhaps because she had used too much mana to cast her protective skill.
"Kaito, wow, Aya is amazing, she can block my attack!" Kaito thought to himself.
Kaito pretended to be weak, unable to stand up, but in reality, he was hungry, having not yet had breakfast. He approached Aya again with a close attack, but Kaito dropped his sword, and Kaito collapsed on the floor. Aya was ultimately the winner.
"All the students, woooowww, Aya is the winner, even though there were 20 minutes left."
"Thank God, Aya is the winner," he thought to himself, pretending to be asleep." Kaito thought to himself.
"Eeeee, why did Kaito suddenly come up to me and faint?" Aya said, confused as to why she was pretending to faint.
"I'll ask Kaito after school," Aya said in her mind.
"Because Kaito dropped his sword and fainted on the floor, Aya is the winner!!" Master Ryu said.
"Congratulations, Aya, you won!" Akira said with a sweet smile.
"Aya, here's the potion you'll drink. Please heal Kaito so he wakes up using your healing skills," Master Ryu said.
"Okay, Master!" Aya said.
"Purification, Area High Heal!!" Aya said.
"Hey, hey, wake up, Kaito, you're healed!" Akira said.
"Oh, yes, you're healed, thank you, Aya," Kaito said.
"Thank goodness! Aya won and is back to normal, hehe," Kaito said in his mind.
"You're welcome," Aya said.
"The bell rang, it's time to go home."
Aya met Kaito on her way home from school and asked, "Why did you suddenly faint while fighting me?"
"Hello Kaito, wait a moment, I want to ask you something? Is that okay?" Aya said.
"Hello too, Aya, why do you want to ask me?" Kaito said.
"I wanted to ask why you suddenly fainted while fighting me? Are you sick or something?" Aya said.
"I just feel a little dizzy, because I haven't eaten, hehe." Kaito said.
"Haaa, how can a swordsman suddenly faint without eating?" Aya thought to herself.
"Did he pretend to faint to end the match quickly? Hmm?"
"Oh, so that's how it is. Okay, next time, don't forget to eat," Aya said.
"Okay, thank you for your concern," Kaito said.
"Then I'll go home first. See you!" Aya said.
"See you too!" Kaito said.
Akira went home from school and went to the inn. Upon arriving, he cooked his favorite onigiri (rice balls) and studied the level 100 magic book. He fell asleep while reading.
