Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Gonna Make You Sweat

===August 27 1993===

Today was their last day of training with Malachi, they were going home tomorrow. Harry looks at the king size bed he and Hermione had been sharing, he was going to miss being able to snuggle against her every night.

Each day, after they trained with Malachi, Sirius would cook meals for them, and would regale them with tales from when he was in Hogwarts. Since most of his stories involved Harry's father Harry clung to every word.

Occasionally Sirius would select memories and show them to the teens in a pensieve that Malachi was happy to lend them. Thanks to this Harry got to see his parents and their friends during their school years.

Harry looks at himself in the mirror, the past two months burned any fat he'd accumulated at Hogwarts. He now had some decent muscle to his skinny frame. He turns to see Hermione come out of the bathroom in her athletic wear. The clothes clung to her every curve accenting her B-cup breasts. Harry quickly looks away before his mind wanders too far.

"Today's the last day. Are you excited to see our progress?" Hermione asks.

"You know it." Harry says.

They walk into the living room and see Sirius asleep on the loveseat in his animal form. Loki lays on top of him. When they walk into the room she raises her head. 'Morning Mum, Dad.'

"Morning Loki." Hermione says as she walks over and pets her then moves.

"Morning sweetness." Harry says as he takes his turn petting her. "You keep your Uncle Padfoot in line now."

They both head outside for their training. After a couple hours of training Malachi snaps his fingers. "Alright, that's enough training for you two. This afternoon will be our final practice of the summer so no holding back." Malachi says then he tosses them both bundles. "I suggest you wear these under your normal clothes."

Harry finishes changing into the clothes Malachi gave them. The long pants and long shirt feel loose on him for all of a second before they magically change to his size. He moves around the clothes now feeling more like a second skin. He turns and sees Hermione's clothes fit her accordingly. "These clothes are amazing." Harry says. "I don't feel like I'm wearing anything at all."

"I was thinking the same thing." Hermione says as she puts her athletic clothes on over them and Harry does the same.

They head to the training room and find Malachi sitting in the center of the circle. His usual shield arm prosthetic in place. "I see you wore the outfits."

"They feel amazing. " Hermione says.

"They are amazing. Each outfit will always fit you, they should also be able to absorb 2 or 3 spells, and deflect non-magical blades." Malachi explains.

Harry looks down at the outfit. "Thank you."

Malachi nods. "Are you two ready?"

Harry nods as he summons his sword and looks to Hermoine. "Hugin! Munin!" Hermione calls out summoning her daggers.

"Levinant!" Malachi commands, summoning a scimitar with a radiant edge to his right hand, then immediately launching at Hermione.

Hermione quickly crosses her daggers as she calls out. "Clypeus!*" A ring of light radiates from where the daggers meet, the light covers all of Hermione's front.

Malachi jumps off the ground and twists so his feet hit the light. The light acts as a solid surface and he quickly springs off of that high into the air.

Meanwhile Harry had rushed in hoping to attack Malachi's exposed back. Harry stops as he watches Malachi flip in the air and land behind him. Harry turns right as Malachi slashes his blade horizontally shouting. "Unda!"

A wave of light energy quickly rushes at Harry. Harry twists his sword so the energy wave hits the sharp edge of his sword allowing his sword to absorb the energy. "Unda!" Harry shouts as he slashes his blade horizontally, sending Malachi's attack back at him.

Malachi jumps over the energy wave when suddenly something comes toward his left side. He twists mid-air blocking Hugin with his shield, leaving the blade embedded in the wooden shield.

"Hugin!" Hermione calls out, and the blade vanishes, taking Malachi's shield with it. Malachi lands and sees Hermione standing with both her daggers, his shield at her feet.

"Aegis!" Malachi calls out and a large golden shield appears on his prosthetic arm where the wood one had been.

"Seriously?" Hermione asks.

"I'm the one fighting at a disadvantage." Malachi says as he raises the shield.

"We'll take what we can get!" Harry says as he rushes at Malachi. "Now!" Malachi turns and sees Harry's raised sword. "Lucidus!*" His sword shines brightly blinding Malachi.

Malachi still blocks Harry's attack. Then he feels Hermione's daggers pass by him. "You missed."

"Ego Munin!" Hermione vanishes. Malachi, still blind turns to where the daggers went when he feels something graze his left arm. Malachi's prosthetic arm falls to the ground.

"Impressive." Malachi says as he flips his blade in his hand pointing it to the ground in apparent surrender.

"You give up old man?" Harry asks.

"Last lesson." Malachi says. "Never underestimate your opponent." He raises the blade up. "Terramotus*!" Malachi stabs the sword into the ground causing a shockwave of energy to ripple outward knocking Harry and Hermione down. Malachi blinks his vision returning. "I say we call it a draw."

Harry gets up slowly. "What in the world was that?"

Malachi grins. "Sorry, I can't cover every technique in 2 months."

"I'll keep that in mind." Harry says.

"Come, I have something for you." Malachi says as he walks towards the back wall of the training room. Hermione gets up curious. Malachi touches the wall with his sword. A seam appears in the wall and Malachi makes his sword vanish and slides the wall open.

Hanging on the walls of the secret room are all of Malachi's various prosthetics. Each wall has a glass case. Malachi steps back and lets Harry and Hermione in the room.

They walk to the first wall and look at the prosthetics before looking in the case. "Is that your arm?" Hermione asks.

"Magically preserved to remind me of bad decisions." Malachi says.

Hermione nods as they walk to the second wall. She gasps as she looks in the case. A prosthetic that looks like it came from a science fiction movie lays in the case along with a handful of notes. "What is this?"

"I've been working on it for years." Malachi says. "It's mundane technology without a power source. The idea is that my own magic will power it. I just haven't figured out that last bit."

"Are those your notes?" Hermione asks. Malachi nods. "You think I can get a copy? I might spot something you missed."

"Sure." Malachi pulls out his wand and makes a copy of the notes in the case. "I'm pretty sure it's in the rune chain."

"I'm taking my first year of Ancient Runes this year, but I'm a quick study." Hermione says.

"Actually we're taking our first year of Ancient Runes." Harry says.

"I thought you were taking the same classes as Ron." Hermione says.

"I changed that while you were petrified." Harry says. "I dropped Divination and took up Ancient Runes. I had to talk to Professor Babbling, and she was happy to have me."

"Did you say Professor Babbling?" Malachi asks. Harry nods. "Bathsheda Babbling?"

"Do you know her?" Harry asks.

"Once, long ago I did." Malachi answers. "I guarantee she could solve my problem, but I doubt she would."

"Sounds like you two were an item." Hermione says.

"We were, but we were on opposite sides of a war." Malachi says. "That was too many years ago."

"She might forgive you." Harry says.

"I highly doubt that, the last thing she said to me was she never wanted to see me again." Malachi says as he walks over to the last glass case and opens it. He pulls a book out of the case and hands it to Harry.

Harry takes the book and examines it. "What is this?"

"It's the Compendium of every spell I've learned as a mageknight." Malachi says. "May it serve you well."

Harry carefully opens the book and looks at the flowing script. "This is amazing."
