Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 2? probably not: Character Overview

Leo – The Threadborn Rookie/ Hero chosen by a Hero

Age: 17

Race: human(naturally)

Hair: Brown(wild and uncombed)

Eyes: hazel

Height: 5'7"

Role: Rookie Hero/ Fate's Final Hope

Personality: naive, determined, idealistic, and a bit a a dork

Abilities:

Beginners Luck: Somehow survivers situations he shouldn't

Heroic Spirit: pure-hearted determination that inspires others.

Wooden Sword techniques: ....it's...uh.... a work in progress.

Quote:

" I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm gonna do it really hard"

---

Mellin: "that child has a strong connection to the essence of the world, that is one of his most impressive qualities"

Core trait: "Resonance Heart"

Leo has an innate connection to the Threads of Essence, meaning his emotions naturally stir and activate magic. He can't control it well (yet), but his raw potential is massive."

---

Actual abilities:

1. Wild Thread Tugs

Triggered by fear, surprise, or excitement.

Causes bursts of wind, minor telekinesis, or stumbling into protective auras.

Accidental, usually followed by an "Oops."

2. Beginner Flow Magic – Wind

After the Sky Temple trial, Leo gains partial control over wind threads.

Can use short gusts to dash, slow falls, or knock enemies back.

Often tied to breathing techniques (which he forgets mid-battle).

3. Thread Sight (Unstable)

Brief flashes where he can see glowing threads connecting people or objects.

Helps in puzzles, detecting lies, or figuring out who's secretly holding a grudge.

---

Mellin: " that child has many strengths those include"

4. Heartweave (Emotion-Based Casting)

Leo's strongest future ability. He casts spells through genuine emotion.

Examples:

Hope → Shield Thread (protective aura for others)

Determination → Blade of Wind (sharp air slash)

Grief → Echo Pulse (stuns foes with a shock of memory)

5. Threadlink

Temporarily links his thread with allies.

Allows for shared spells, boosted movement, or emotional syncing.

Useful in team battles (and for making Leon tear up unexpectedly).

---

Mellin: "Naturally when there's strengths there's weaknesses"

Leo's weaknesses:

Untrained Control – His power often activates too early… or too late.

Emotional Vulnerability – Strong feelings fuel his magic but also cloud judgment.

Zero Magical Theory – He can't read arcane glyphs or cast traditional spells.

---

Potential Future Unlock: "Thread Surge"

A rare state where Leo temporarily channels multiple threads at once — usually in moments of crisis or heroism. Comes with a glow, lots of wind, and Leon screaming "He's not ready for that!"

---

Mentorship Notes (By Leon Harth, scribbled in the margin of a wine-stained book):

"Natural resonance. That's rare."

"He's clumsy but impossible to break. That's rarer."

"I think… he might save us all. Hopefully before he trips off a cliff."

Leon Harth - The Timeworn Hero

Age: 300 (appears 23)

Race: Elf

Appearance: Blonde hair, calm green eyes, always wears a slightly worn cloak from a past era.

Personality: Wise, heroic, sarcastic, exhausted from centuries of time-looping.

Backstory: Leon has reversed time countless times to stop the world's destruction. He's succeeded temporarily, but the world always falls again. Now, he's done doing it himself.

Core Trait:

"Warden of the Loop" – Leon has spent centuries repeating time to save the world. His soul is intertwined with countless Threads of Fate. Though he's given up on being the chosen savior, his magic reflects deep mastery and quiet power.

---

Magic Type: Hybrid Threadmaster

Leon can command nearly every category of thread, but he favors subtlety, precision, and economy of motion — no flashy fireballs here. His magic style is like a calm ripple hiding an ocean below.

---

Known Abilities

1. Loop Thread Mastery (Temporal Magic)

Can freeze moments, slow time in localized zones, or glance into near futures.

His Time Crystal is cracked now, so full resets are off the table.

Time magic now strains him heavily — he uses it sparingly.

2. Thread Weaving (Combat)

Threads of light wrap around his sword or fists.

Can cut magical constructs, reflect spells, or even "sew" wounds mid-battle.

Weaving is elegant, silent, and deadly.

3. Silent Severance

A feared move: Leon can sever magical effects with a gesture.

It's not true anti-magic — he knows where the thread is and gently removes it.

Often used to disable traps or disarm unstable mages.

4. Echo Lock

Can lock a person's memories temporarily, preventing panic or trauma mid-fight.

Also useful for secrets. (He's done this to himself, many times.)

---

Signature Move: "Thread Compass"

Leon senses the flow of fate like a magnetic pull — he doesn't need maps or prophecies.

By touching the ground or air, he feels where a Thread of Fate is weakest.

His line: "We go that way. Because it itches."

---

Hidden/Advanced Techniques

Time Stitch – Patches small holes in time to prevent paradoxes. (He's had to fix Leo's antics already.)

Ghost Threads – Allows him to "talk" to echoes of past loops by pulling faded remnants.

Anchor Thread – Keeps Leo (and himself) tied to the present, resisting corruption or time-warping effects.

---

Limitations

Fatigue of Loops – He's mentally and emotionally drained. It shows in small sighs, avoided questions, and pauses before battle.

Fractured Crystal – His time crystal is damaged beyond repair. He can no longer reset time.

Overprotectiveness – He hesitates to let Leo face danger alone, even though he knows he must.

Quote:

"I'm not doing this anymore I'm retiring"

---

Notes (By different characters):

Mellin:

"He hides the weight of centuries behind a smirk. He's forgotten more spells than most have ever seen."

Leo:

" he looks tired. Like he did something very burdensome."

Voice:

"Maybe, this time, he'll let himself live a life."
