Selene~
Cassidy's routine continued over the next few days but I didn't think much of it. I did tell her a lot that particular day, and I knew it would've been overwhelming to take in.
She needed the break. And I was going to let her have it.
However, when Michael showed up at my door with a big smile, I had no other choice than to wake Cassidy from her sleep and let her be with me in the living area for support.
Michael greeted her and she responded weakly.
"I'm surprised you let me in," he said to me.
I rolled my eyes. "What do you want this time? Revealing our secrets to the world isn't enough? You want more?"
Cassidy was curled around the armrest, though she looked as if she'd rather vanish into the couch.
Michael smirked. "I'm doing you a favor."
"A favor?" I scoffed. "Everyone thinks they're doing me a favor."
"Everyone?" he raised a brow. "What were you even thinking going to Sophia's house? Do you know what she did?"
"Nothing you haven't done, I'm sure."
