In the western part of Santalune City stood a building with the logo of Kalos Region Pokemon League.
Even early in the morning, many aspiring trainers were seen coming from all over the city to this building.
Among them all is Evelyn
Even when she is standing with the crowd of people, her appearance alone make her stand out among them.
Many people can't help but take a glance at her from time to time.
"They are both late. " Evelyn muttered in a small voice while looking around.
The reason she came here was because today was the day of the second test.
In order to obtain the Regional Starter Pokemon, you need to participate in a total of three tests.
Consists of pre-test, first test, and second test.
The pre-test is a document screening, which she passed easily.
While the test that she passed not long ago is the first test , which is a theoritical test, in here you are tested your knowledge about various things related to pokemon from their type to their match-up, then there's also something like their treatment in case emergency and various other things.
For the second test, it will be a practical test in which you need to use pokemon that are provided by the League in order to defeat the opponent.
The opponent is someone who works for the league to test the participants.
"Participant Evelyn Scarlet, please come to room number 2."
While she's still looking for her friends, her name was called out.
She has no choice but to stop her search and find her test room .

Inside room number 2
There are two people inside who are currently discussing something .
" What do you think about the last participant?" a man with robust appearance and short black hair and eyes asked his colleague beside him.
" Average "
The man with shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes beneath his glasses uttered a single word.
Hearing that , the robust man recalled the battle early.
While certainly not an impressive battle but the last participant was able to command the pokemon without stuttering or doubt. Even among the participants, there were few who could keep up with that participant.
But apparently, his colleague has a high standard when selecting the participant.
The robust man glanced at the man beside him.
Evan Lowell
At the age of sixteen, he won the league championship. After that, he was scouted by the League, and after four years, he climbed up the rank to become one of the important personnel in the headquarter.
There's also a rumor that his strength already reached the rank of Elite Four. Whatever the rumor is true isn't known yet, but one thing is certain, he is strong.
"By the way about the next participant. "
Evan said without taking his eyes from the paper in his hand.
"If it's the next participant, you mean Evelyn Scarlet?" the robust man said after he took a look at the list of participants.
"Hmm, I can't wait to see her battle. " mutter Evan while the corner of his mouth slightly turned up.
" Scarlet...where have I heard it?" the robust man muttered while thinking 🤔
" They are one of the conglomerate." Evan added to his colleague.
"Ah..you mean 'that' Scarlet ?" The robust man said while being surprised.
The Scarlet Family, they are one of the top conglomerate in Kalos and the world. Beginning in the real estate industry, now their business grow bigger and bigger, and they started to expand in another sectors and become one of the wealthiest family.
Evan just nodded.
Despite being one of the wealthy family, not many know about them other than
the current head of family has two children, and both currently work in the company as a director .
While both of them are still thinking.

A knock sounds was her from outside the door.

And from the door come a girl with a scarlet hair and eyes. Wearing a gray sweater and white cargo pants.
The two of them stared at the newcomer for a bit before they snapped out.
"Participant Evelyn Scarlet, was it?" The robust man asked.
"Yes,it's me," Evelyn nodded, making her ponytail sway.
" Let me introduce myself first, My name is Tom," the robust man who introduced himself as Tom said.
"And the man beside me is Evan." The man beside him glanced at her while nodding.
"The test is simple. You have to choose a pokemon among the ones on the tray beside me." Tom said while pointing at the tray containing the pokeballs.
"Then you need to defeat me on a one-on-one battle." He said while pointing to himself. After that, he waited for me to choose a pokemon first
In the tray , there are ten pokeball lined up.
After a few seconds later, Evelyn eventually chose one among them.
"I chose this one." Evelyn said to Tom.
"Good, take a look at your pokemon first while I chose one." Tom began to choose one himself.
Evelyn toss the pokeball in her hand ,and from there, light burst out, and a pokemon came out.
A blue sheep-like pokemon with cream colored wool that covered its body and head , Its conical ears and tail have a yellow-and-black striped pattern , and at the end of its tail is an orange sphere that acted like a small light bulb.
Mareep , The Wool Pokemon, Electric Type.

After coming out, it gave me a piece of paper that was in its mouth.
The paper contains a list of moves it can use as well as the ability.
Growl , Tackle, Thunder Wave, Thunder Shock, Cotton Spore, and Charge.
A total of six moves , but only two are attacking moves.
"Are you ready ?"
While she was thinking of the strategy , Tom approached her.
" Ah yes , I'm ready." nodded. She began to walk to the battlefield that was inside the room . While the mareep is called back to pokeball.
After both of them reach their position , as if on clue , both of them throw their pokeball.
"Mareep, come."
" Go , Tauros."
A bull-like pokemon Tauros appear in the opposite field.
Blea....
Mareep, who appeared at her side, noticed his opponent and bleated at me . Looking slightly intimidate.
"Tauros , Tackle." Almost as soon as the battle began , Tom commanded his pokemon to attack.
Tauros started to charge toward Mareep.
" Mareep, Thunder Wave." Evelyn command , realizing that the Tauros has Intimidate Ability, she didn't hesiste.
Electricity began to crankle from its body and began to sweep at the nearby area.
Tauros who is in the middle of charging, was hit by the electric.
Its body began to be covered by electricity, making it paralyze
While Thunder Wave might not be an attacking move , its ability to paralyze its opponent is valuable in battle . Not only paralyzed , but it also makes the target speed fall.
