Chapter 118 - Chapter 115 - I'm a Good Kouhai~

The battle in Kyoto had ended. But it wasn't the only one.

Heaven, inevitably, ended up becoming one of Rizevim's main targets.

As a demon, he never tolerated the idea of the existence of angels; for him, they were a race that simply didn't need to exist.

That's why the attack happened a few minutes ago.

And on a much larger scale than in Kyoto.

The first heaven, the lowest of the seven, where low-level fallen angels and messengers tended to their tasks, now looked like a battlefield. The silver clouds, once full of shine and calm, were stained with dark tones, almost violet, remnants of the demonic energy that still floated in the air.

The winds, which always blew gentle and warm, now carried the metallic smell of burned iron.

A short time ago, more than a thousand Super Demons crossed the gates to enter Heaven.

They decimated the low-level angels without any effort, crushing everything around them. Since they were caught by surprise, it took them a while to react, and that was the price of inattention. Fortunately, Chaldea had already taken measures. The situation was resolved quickly, before the Archangels even had a chance to intervene. Aside from a few casualties, there were no major problems.

Although they hadn't interfered, the Archangels watched everything that happened in the war between Chaldea and the army of Super Demons, beings capable of destroying the world with ease. Even after a few minutes from the end of the battle, everyone remained silent, impressed by what they had witnessed.

Michael observed everything in silence.

The only thing going through his mind....

... And to think that it was just a girl who prevented this.

That one with lilac hair that seemed to float even without wind, the mischievous gaze, and a smile that challenged all divine conventions. She was standing before his eyes after dealing with an entire army of world destroyers, something her father wasn't capable of doing....

He felt a shiver run down his spine. It wasn't fear… it was something more complex, the kind of discomfort that arises in the face of something that simply shouldn't exist. He still clearly remembered how that little girl had played with the Super Demons, terrorizing them as if they were broken toys. Honestly, he felt so much pity for them that, for a moment, he almost intervened… just to grant them a merciful death.

That girl was truly terrifying!

He took a deep breath, trying to regain his composure as he stepped forward a few paces, the light emanating from his wings bathing the violet mist left by the demons. The expression on his face was serene, but his eyes betrayed the perplexity.

"Miss BB… On behalf of all of us, I thank you. If it weren't for your intervention, I fear the first heaven would have been reduced to ashes. Heaven is in your debt."

BB shifted her gaze from the horizon and stared at him with that mischievous smile that seemed to play with the archangel's words. Her eyes sparkled as if reflecting a private universe....

"Ah~, no need to thank me, Michael-san." She tilted her head to the side, resting a finger on her chin in a theatrical gesture: "I just followed my Senpai's orders. As a good Kouhai, I can't help but obey, right?"

Michael blinked, slightly confused.

"Orders… from your senpai? You mean Kazuya-san?"

"Yes~." BB waved her hands as if dismissing an unnecessary explanation: "He asked me to 'resolve the problem quickly'. So I just did what any well-mannered digital intelligence would do! It was something quite simple, you know? It wasn't even work."

She said that as if she had cleaned the floor of a hallway, and not erased from existence an army of beings capable of annihilating entire worlds.

Michael's serenity wavered. For a moment, he thought he had misheard, but BB's malicious gaze and sweet smile confirmed that no, she really didn't see it as a big deal.

The wind blew, stirring her lilac hair that floated like gentle waves. The girl gave a small spin and stretched her arms lazily.

"Besides…" She added, winking at Michael. "I like keeping the celestial environment cute. Imagine how boring it would be if this place turned into a field of debris, right?"

The angels around didn't know whether they should feel grateful or terrified.

Michael, for his part, just sighed, a long, heavy breath that seemed to carry a thousand thoughts.

"I… understand. Still, Heaven thanks you for your… cooperation, BB."

"Aw~, such formality!" She brought her hands to her face, feigning surprise. "You angels are really so serious. Relax, I'm not going to charge anything… this time."

Her smile widened, innocent and threatening in equal measure, before her body began to dissolve. Since her work was done in this place, she had to join the fun in another according to her master's orders.

It was funny that the angels didn't even realize they weren't in the "true heaven" but in a Pocket Dimension created by her master....

... ...

In Egypt, which had been Ozymandias' territory since he took it when summoned by Kazuya, things weren't so different. Although it wasn't the true one because of the substitution through [Dimension Lost], the Sun King still considered it an affront for such despicable beings to invade his territory.

In the endless desert, a marble of reality had risen before the hundreds of Super Demons who attacked that "front" of the war.

It was the Ramesseum Tentyris: The Great Shining Temple Complex, the incomparable glory of Ozymandias, the Pharaoh of Pharaohs.

The golden columns that formed the temple gates rose from nowhere, sculpted from pure condensed sunlight. A myriad of complexes materialized like solid mirages, temples, mausoleums, altars, and corridors that seemed to stretch across the entire celestial horizon. The air trembled with a divine reverberation, as if the world itself had bowed its head before the splendor of a king.

Ozymandias, seated on his golden throne inside the main temple, observed everything with the serene and arrogant gaze of one who knew he was above all eras.

"Pathetic…" He murmured, his voice reverberating through the colossal walls of the temple, reaching every corner of his domain: "My friend said to be careful, but these demons were nothing special."

Before his eyes, hundreds of Super Demons lay in ruins or, more precisely, in dust. The vast majority never made it past the gate to his throne room. Those who managed to cross the initial defenses were struck down by the divine curses and the solar power of the temple.

The Guardian Beasts, phantasmagorical creatures, circled the air roaring in chorus.

Ozymandias raised his golden staff and lightly touched the ground with the tip. The sound echoed like thunder. The entire temple responded.

Within his domain, he was the incarnate sun god himself. The Ramesseum Tentyris was not just a monument to Egypt's glory; it was a complete world, a Reality Marble that united all the divine complexes, from Karnak to Dendera, centered on the great Ramesseum. Every stone, every pillar, and every ray of light obeyed his absolute will.

He controlled everything from his throne room, which functioned as the central core, the "brain" of the structure. Through it, Ozymandias could direct the flow of magical energy, reinforcing certain areas and shutting down others as he wished. Thus, the Pharaoh reigned over his empire with the precision of a captain guiding a starship.

At the center of it all, the Great Dendera Lamp shone. The sacred artifact, powered by solar energy and the magic of Amon Ra, was the luminous heart of the complex. Its light reverberated on the walls covered in living hieroglyphs that told the story of the god-king, shining as if the gods themselves revered him.

This light sustained the temple's power and also its main weapon, the Dendera Lamp, an instrument of divine destruction. When activated, it channeled Ozymandias' solar judgment in a divine punishment attack of astronomical range, so intense that it could erase an entire city in a single shot.

It was said that a full discharge of the Lamp was as powerful as a solar explosion, capable of wiping Tokyo off the map in an instant. Even Excalibur Proto, in its almost released form, needed to be combined with a triple Stella spell to surpass the power of that light.

But Ozymandias rarely needed to resort to that extreme.

The secondary temples were filled with divine blessings and curses, inherited from the Egyptian gods consecrated in them. A gesture from the Pharaoh was enough to invoke these forces. One of the blessings kept himself and his Guardian Beasts in a state of divine immortality, nullifying fatal wounds, regenerating lost limbs, and even restoring his head if decapitated.

To defeat him, it would be necessary to completely destroy the Ramesseum Tentyris and him along with it, a practically impossible task.

The curses, on the other hand, were manifestations of pure divine Authority. One of them emanated from an Egyptian Spirit that poisoned any invader, killing common creatures in seconds and weakening powerful Servants. Even Arash, resistant to all known poisons, suffered when breathing there, his lungs burned, and his muscles became heavy as lead, imagine mere Super Demons?

Another curse blocked the use of Noble Phantasms within the domain, imprisoning any attempt to release heroic power. Only those with strong ties to Divine Spirits or holders of their own divinity could resist it.

And there were still the physical defenses.

The outer walls of the complex were made of the legendary divine steel of the Hittites, metal so resistant that it could repel Anti-Army Noble Phantasms without suffering even a scratch. In addition, the complex possessed an Anti-Purge composite armor, capable of withstanding world-scale attacks, the same ones that could erase entire dimensions.

In other words, not even the Farthest End Tower could reduce the Ramesseum Tentyris to ashes. Imagine mere Super Demons?

They didn't even stand a chance.

At his feet, the golden desert that stretched within his reality was covered with charred demon remains. The flames danced under the eternal sunlight, consuming what was left of them until only dust remained.

"How dare they profane the legacy of Egypt…?" he murmured, resting his chin on his hand and smiling with contempt.

He rose from his throne, and the movement made the light bend around his body. With a wave of his hand, the pyramids and temples began to retract, slowly returning to the ether. The Ramesseum Tentyris withdrew, like a colossus falling asleep after duty fulfilled.

His friend awaited him, and as a king, it was unbecoming to be late....

... ...

Lilith, the capital of the demons, lay in ruins.

Well, just the copy of the true one made by Kazuya's Longinus, although he arrived a bit late to help as in other Battlefields and the demons had several victims because of that.

Victims who were pulled into the [Pocket Dimension] that he had created.

The air smelled of blood.

The floating towers that symbolized the pride of the demonic nobility were collapsed, broken into fragments that floated over the void. Flames burned in the craters left by explosions of magical energy, the kind of destruction that even the ancient Maous would consider a nightmare.

The ground trembled.

And, amid all this, Lilith's last defense forces still fought desperately.

Ajuka Beelzebub was kneeling on the rubble, panting, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth. His eyes, normally calm and calculating, were filled with something rare: genuine surprise. His green robe, torn in several places, was covered in soot and dust. Beside him, Serafall Leviathan floated with her battle dress completely burned, her long dark hair disheveled, her body wounded in multiple points. Even so, the childish smile she usually displayed had disappeared.

She now had the gaze of a determined warrior.

"Ajuka-chan! If you keep going like this, you'll die!" She shouted, raising a magical ice shield that immediately shattered upon colliding with a lightning attack from a Super Demon flying in the sky.

The impact opened a crater in the city they once called the capital.

"Don't worry about me…" Ajuka responded, his voice hoarse, while using the [Kankara Formula] to control several phenomena and defend himself from the Super Demons flying around them.

A boom shook the ruins.

Fragments of stone and metal flew through the air when a body crashed through the side of a collapsing building and fell among the broken columns of the ancient palace.

"Falbium!" Serafall's scream echoed through the destroyed city.

She ran without thinking, her heart racing. The dust raised by the impact still hung in the air, and when the gray curtain began to dissipate, she saw him: the Maou of Sloth, embedded against the debris, his body covered in burns and cracks that spread across his left arm.

Even so, he was still breathing.

"Damn..." Falbium spat blood and tried to get up, but the weight of his own body prevented him. "That bastard... he used such a powerful attack casually..."

Serafall knelt beside him and touched her friend's shoulder, her hand trembling. The icy magic she invoked immediately mixed with the hot blood dripping from the wound.

"Stay still, don't try to move!" she said, trying to keep her voice firm, but the anguish overflowed in every syllable.

Ajuka approached, limping. Around the city, a huge greenish magical circle covered it, expelling all the Super Demons outside....

"I managed to stabilize the perimeter for a few minutes through my magic, but I fear this won't last more than that. After that, we'll have to face each one of them... Maybe this really is our last fight," he murmured, more to himself than to the others.

Serafall raised her gaze to him, desperate. "Don't say that now!"

Before Ajuka could respond, a weak voice sounded right behind.

"I… I'll get him out of here."

They turned.

Sirzechs was coming, or at least trying. The Maou Lucifer, who once seemed invincible, now could barely walk. The red cloak dragged on the ground, torn and burned. The flames reflected in his dull eyes, and his breathing was heavy, irregular, almost human.

He knelt beside Falbium, trying to lift him with trembling arms.

"Don't move, Sirzechs!" Serafall exclaimed, her voice breaking. "You can barely stand!"

He forced a smile, trying to hide the tremor on his face. "I still… can do something. Leave it to me."

But the weight of Falbium's body made his legs give way.

The two fell among the stones, and Sirzechs coughed blood.

"Idiot!" Serafall crouched and held him by the shoulders, tears streaming from the corners of her soot-dirty eyes. "You shouldn't even be here! What went through your head facing one of those monsters alone?! We told you to get as far away from here as possible while we dealt with these villains!"

Previously, when the Super Demons invaded the Underworld, the destruction was almost total. Most regions were devastated, and countless lives were lost. During the confrontation, Sirzechs tried to face one of the Super Demons but was defeated with a simple slap, a blow as casual as it was devastating. He would have died right there if not for their intervention, who arrived in time to stabilize his condition with magic.

Since there was no time to waste, they decided to send him to another safe location. Shortly after, the Dimension Lost manifested, enveloping everyone and transporting them to a copy of Lilith. Since then, only a few minutes had passed, but they were already exhausted, with their strength almost at an end.

The Super Demons were truly monstrous creatures. Each one possessed power equivalent to, or even superior to, what Sirzechs had at his peak. And, among them, there was one whose strength was so absurd that he didn't even need to act; he just observed everything from above, with a lazy and disinterested gaze.

Sirzechs didn't respond immediately. He just stayed there, looking at the blood-stained ground. For a moment, the distant sound of battles seemed to fade. Then, he opened his mouth, and the words came out in a whisper, weak, laden with shame.

"...I'm sorry."

Ajuka stopped. Serafall too. Even Falbium, for an instant, seemed to forget the pain.

"Sorry for what?" Serafall's voice trembled.

Sirzechs raised his gaze, his countenance calm, but empty.

"For not telling the truth before. I… haven't been the same for months. The strength I had left... is disappearing, and I thought I could hide it for a while. But…"

He smiled, a sad, tired smile, the kind of expression that didn't belong to the man who once bore the title of Lucifer.

"Even so, I wanted to fight. I wanted to believe I could still protect all of you… like before. I didn't want to run and leave you behind."

Serafall bit her lips, her eyes welling up.

She had known him for too long, knew when he tried to disguise the pain, knew when guilt corroded him from within.

"You idiot..." She murmured, lightly tapping his chest, the touch weak, more a vent than a reprimand. "Do you think we care about that? Do you think you need to carry everything alone?"

Sirzechs lowered his gaze.

The silence that followed was heavy.

Ajuka, for his part, just observed.

He wasn't the type to let himself be carried away by sentimentality, but something in that scene tightened even his chest.

Falbium took a deep breath, his voice hoarse.

"There's no point in blaming yourself now… we just need to survive this."

The air vibrated again, a wave of demonic energy spread across the sky, and the roar of a Super Demon cut through the silence.

The gigantic shadow of the creature covered the horizon, descending among the ruins with eyes shining like blades.

Serafall stood up, wiping her tears with her forearm.

Her body still ached, but her expression changed, the determined gaze of a warrior who no longer had fear.

"Ajuka-chan," she said, without turning her face. "Take care of them. I'll hold this one."

Ajuka frowned. "You alone?"

"It won't be the first time." She responded, forcing a short smile before launching herself into the air, creating a crystalline ice wing that expanded amid the smoke.

The air split with the impact when she collided with the creature. The shock made the entire city tremble again.

And, for an instant, the flames reflected on the frozen surface of her shield, like a beacon in the midst of hell.

Ajuka looked at Sirzechs, who was still trying to keep Falbium conscious.

There was so much he wanted to say—anger, frustration, disbelief—but in the end, he just sighed.

"You really left us in a bad spot, old friend."

Sirzechs tried to laugh, but the sound came out as a weak groan.

"I know… and I'll still try to fix it."

Ajuka looked away, clenching his fist.

He wanted to believe. He really did. But, looking at the state of the Lucifer before him, the flame of doubt seemed inevitable.

The roar of the Super Demon echoed again, and Serafall's ice shone high above, like a last glimmer of hope over the ruins of Lilith.

But she didn't need to get actively involved in the combat.

The sky split.

It was as if space itself had been torn from within, a sharp sound, more felt than heard, vibrated in the bones of everyone still breathing among the ruins of Lilith. The air trembled, distorted, and for a brief second, everything seemed to stop. The wind ceased, the fire froze in mid-air, and even the roar of the Super Demon fell silent.

Then… the light fell.

A colossal spear, made of pure golden magical energy, pierced the clouds and perforated the horizon. It wasn't just brightness—it was density. The very structure of reality yielded under the impact. A column of condensed plasma, hot enough to vaporize matter before the light even touched it, descended with the fury of an ancient god.

The sound came afterward. A thunder that wasn't sound, but a crushing pressure that forced Serafall to fall to her knees in mid-air, her ice wings crumbling into particles.

"...What… is this…?"

The question escaped without her realizing.

The Super Demons, hundreds of them, were swallowed in a single instant. No screams, no resistance. Just the flash. The impact spread across the sky like a sea of gold, expanding in concentric rings that tore through space. The ground rose and disintegrated. The city's flames were extinguished, replaced by a shimmering void, where pure energy still pulsed like the heart of a dying star.

Ajuka, even with his rational and cold mind, couldn't calculate what he saw.

That wasn't common magic. It was the kind of attack that not even the formulas of [Kankara] could explain without extrapolating all possible limits.

"This…" He whispered, his voice hoarse...

Falbium, still lying down, managed to raise his gaze. Even exhausted, the golden light reflected in his eyes made him hold his breath.

"...So… someone was still out there."

Serafall, with her heart racing, raised her eyes to the sky. The glow began to dissipate, revealing a silhouette above the clouds.

And there she was.

Floating serenely, her long silver hair dancing like threads of mist under the still-burning wind. The expression was cold, distant, almost bored, but there was something profoundly imperial in every movement.

Morgan.

She had no desire to save those "rats" who had tried to manipulate her husband, so she took so long to get involved in the battle against the enemy army. Unfortunately, none of them died. Well, she fulfilled her part... now she just hopes her husband knows how to reward her for this.

She huffed and disappeared from the [Pocket Dimension], returning to Chaldea while the Four Maous were shocked by the sudden turnaround.

.

.

.

.

.

With the exception of the Underworld, which ended up facing serious problems due to Morgan's delay in acting, all the other places attacked by the Demons were defended by Chaldea.

In Gregori, Gilgamesh and Enkidu faced and eliminated all the Super Demons, including the [Super Demon of Pride] himself, whose magic allowed him to increase his own power with each enemy killed. Even so, not even he was a match for the legendary duo.

Asgard was also the target of a massive attack, with more than a thousand Super Demons invading its gates. However, all were annihilated by Artoria Lancer and her Alter version. The land of the Japanese Gods was also defended by Nobunaga, Tamamo no Mae, and Nikolas Tesla. In other regions, like Mexico, the situation was equally controlled thanks to the presence of Kulkulkan, who ensured no enemy survived.

Even in other countries, the defenses remained firm; Arjuna, Merlin, Medea, Medusa, and the other Servants of Kazuya, all wielding the [Mythological Mystic Code], ensured no setbacks occurred.

All the Super Demons, the army most adored by Rizevim, fell before the overwhelming force of Kazuya's Servants.

Only one battlefield remained.

And it was the one where Karna faced, alone, all the Hindu Gods.
