Rachel suddenly chuckled softly. "Cousin, did you really save Garrett Vincent when you were a kid?"
Holly shot her a glare. "If I hadn't saved Garrett back then, would he treat me so well now?"
"But I remember you didn't like playing in that area when you were younger, right? I was the one who always went there," Rachel replied.
Holly's face turned pale. "What… what do you mean by that? My saving Garrett has nothing to do with whether I liked playing there or not. I just happened to be there once and saved him."
"Happened to be?" Rachel observed Holly's evasive gaze and felt certain that her cousin was hiding something.
It couldn't have been Holly who saved Garrett Vincent.
"Rachel, enough already!" Holly snapped, her anger flaring up to cover her unease. "What happened between Garrett and me is none of your business. Just mind your own affairs!"
With that, Holly stormed off in a huff.
Rachel lowered her eyes, staring at her hands.
