When Rachel suddenly opened her eyes, she realized she had been dreaming again, dreaming about the little boy and girl.
Just as the boy fell down in her dream, she woke up!
As she blinked, her almond-shaped eyes met those familiar peach blossom eyes. But at that moment, Jeffrey's gaze was heavy, like a dark, bottomless sea.
"Did you have a dream?" he asked, his lips barely moving, his voice sounding distant.
"Yeah," Rachel nodded, glancing at the wall clock. It was already past 2 AM. "Did I wake you?"
"No," he replied. "I was just having trouble sleeping. What did you dream about? You look so pale."
Rachel opened her mouth but hesitated. Should she tell him about the little girl saving the little boy?
Did she think that little boy might be Garrett Vincent?
She already felt uneasy about Jeffrey mistaking her and Garrett, and now she couldn't even figure out why she was having that dream.
