After saying that, Jeffrey turned to the sales assistant and said, "Wrap all of these up, please."
The sales assistant's eyes lit up with excitement as she quickly packed up the hair accessories and printed the receipt.
Jeffrey paid the bill and took the bag filled with the accessories.
Rachel didn't protest anymore; she understood this was just his way of showing affection.
If she argued again, it might only make things awkward for him.
"Let's go buy some clothes and shoes," he said, sounding almost like he was addicted to shopping.
"But I already have some. I don't need to buy more," she replied.
"But I want to see you dressed beautifully," he said. "Don't you women always say a man's money is meant to be spent on women? Besides, I never refused the clothes and shoes you bought for me before."
Well, she couldn't really argue with that.
But to stop him from buying her a bunch of luxury stuff, Rachel suggested, "How about I pick out what I like?"
