Although Lauren had once been by Jonathan Quintero's side, the Quintero and Gray families had no business dealings, so she had never met Jeffrey.
Yet now, in just two days, she had seen him twice, both times in Rachel's company!
Thinking back to Jeffrey's earlier warning, Lauren's gaze toward Rachel grew complicated.
Someone like Rachel being loved by someone like Jeffrey, she couldn't tell if it was a blessing or a curse.
Regardless, she genuinely hoped Rachel would find happiness.
"Oh, I forgot to buy some fruit! Liam mentioned he wanted pomegranate while in the hospital," Rachel said, hurriedly grabbing her phone and heading out to get the fruit.
Of course, when Rachel said "Liam said," it was actually Liam communicating through sign language.
"Rachel, that's not necessary. You've already bought Liam toys; I can get the pomegranate for him later," Lauren quickly said.
