"It definitely will! And Sister Lauren, you still have a long way to go in life. Saying things like that is kinda too pessimistic. Who knows? Maybe things will get even better in the future," Rachel said.
Lauren looked at her, slightly surprised.
"You've changed a bit."
"Changed?" Rachel blinked, confused.
"Yeah. When you first came to my shop, you looked so lost… like life was about to crush you or something. But now, it feels like that gloom is fading. You seem like someone who actually believes there's hope for the future," Lauren said gently.
Hope for the future?
Rachel paused for a second. Was it because Josephine was helping her investigate the case?
Or maybe it was because she and Jeffrey had started over?

She walked over, and right as she reached it, the door opened.
Jeffrey was sitting in the back seat, smiling at her. "Get in."
