As soon as Tsunade entered the office, Shouta complimented her.
"Pfft, I always look like this."
Tsunade touched her flushed cheeks and quickly walked to her seat.
"Still, you seem especially glowing today."
Shouta was already very familiar with Tsunade. A little teasing here and there never hurt anyone.
"Just do your work."
Tsunade shot him a glare while muttering something about Kawaki under her breath.
"Hehe~"
Shouta chuckled smugly before burying himself in paperwork.
He'd long gotten used to this way of working, although it could get a bit maddening.
The friend from the Yamanaka clan who had promised to help hadn't shown up yet as agreed.
Looks like he needed to push a bit harder. If necessary, he'd have to offer some incentives.
Thinking about that, Shouta's mood dropped slightly.
He could only curse Kawaki under his breath—he wouldn't dare do it openly in front of Tsunade, after all.
"Shouta, those pending funding documents can be approved now."
Tsunade called out to him.
There had been many funding requests stuck on hold, but with the two hundred million ryo secured by Kawaki, everything was suddenly resolved.
That's why Tsunade supported Kawaki so much earlier.

Hearing the news about Kawaki returning to the village, Shouta immediately made the connection.
"Raid? That sounds terrible."

Tsunade thought for a moment, borrowing Kawaki's shameless explanation.
"You sure about that?"
Shouta rubbed his chin. The people of Mist must have lost their minds.
"Stop asking questions and just finish approving it—I'll take a quick look later."
Tsunade waved impatiently. Where's the trust between people?
"Alright, fine."
Shouta knew he'd guessed right. He got up and brought out the old files.
Who cares if Mist is crazy? It's good news for Konoha either way.
Soon enough, Shouta placed the processed documents beside Tsunade.
"All approved. Just take a quick look at them when you get the chance."
With that, he returned to his desk—there were still tons of papers to handle. Being the Hokage's assistant was no easy task.
"Mm, how has The Snow Clan been lately?"
While reviewing the paperwork, Tsunade asked Shouta absentmindedly. She had arranged things but barely checked in since.
"Not bad. The Uchiha did quite a bit to help."
Shouta actually knew quite well—Tsunade had assigned him to keep an eye on them.
"Good. Approve some more funds for them then."
"Let's not give others the impression that Konoha is stingy."
Tsunade now sounded unusually generous, nothing like her previous self who winced at every approval.
"Okay."
Shouta cast a glance at Tsunade, clearly disliking her boastful demeanor.
These weren't times when money was tight anymore.

"Natsuki, let's go shopping."
Shinryu Yūhi's wife brought Kurenai Yūhi to the Hatake family.
"You're here."
Natsuki enthusiastically approached them. The two had already planned to buy some clothes together.
"Kurenai."
"Kakashi."
The two kids greeted happily.
After being placed on the ground by her mom, Kurenai Yūhi immediately ran toward Kakashi.
They both dashed toward each other at the same time!
Little White zoomed joyfully around the two kids.
"Kakashi, hold Kurenai's hand and come with Mama for some shopping."
Natsuki called out to Kakashi, but didn't receive the response she'd hoped for.
"Mama, I don't feel like going."
Kakashi rejected coldly. Shopping with his mama was super boring.
"Then I won't go either."
Kurenai firmly sided with Kakashi.
"These two kids..."
Kurenai's mother chuckled behind her hand.
"We'll buy you something delicious."
Natsuki tried bargaining with the kids.
"Sister-in-law, I'm heading out."
Right at that moment, Kawaki just finished eating and walked out.
He also politely greeted Kurenai's mom upon seeing her.
"Uncle."
The two kids were very close with Kawaki. They ran up happily and hugged one leg each.
"Oh my, who are these cute little beauties?"
Kawaki scooped up Kurenai and gave her rosy cheeks a kiss.
"Uncle is handsome too."
Delighted, Kurenai accepted Kawaki's compliment and kissed him back.
"I want a hug too."
Kakashi felt slightly jealous. Usually, Uncle always held him the most.
But since it was Kurenai, he could barely tolerate it.
If it had been Gai, he would have thrown an absolute fit.
"Okay okay okay."
Kawaki stretched out his arms and carried one child on each side.
The two kids wiggled happily in his embrace.
Seeing this scene, Natsuki got a new idea.
"Kawaki, we're going out to buy some clothes."
"Can you babysit Kakashi and Kurenai for a bit?"
Since Kawaki's job was easygoing anyway, and she couldn't be bothered to force the kids if they weren't willing.
"No way, I've got work."
Kawaki's face changed instantly. He could handle holding them for a while, but babysitting really scared him a little.
"It won't take much of your time."
Natsuki knew Kawaki actually had plenty of free time even at school, so it wouldn't interfere much with him.
Without waiting for a reply, she dragged Kurenai's mom outside.
"Sister-in-law, I really have things to do."
Kawaki chased after them for a few steps. Why did he always end up like this?
What was so lovable about those two little brats anyway?
"What did you say? I can't hear you!"
Natsuki pulled Kurenai's mom away quickly, soon disappearing from Kawaki's sight.
Ghost Mastiff darted its eyes nervously, too scared to make a sound.
It bolted out like a flash, chasing right after its master.
As for whether its son lived or died, it really didn't have time to think about.
It was certain Kawaki would turn it into a human babysitter if it slowed down even a little.
That wasn't an easy job by any means—these two little troublemakers couldn't be scolded or hit.
"I'll admit, I'm impressed."
Kawaki stopped walking, holding the two kids in his arms. He might as well get a taste of being a daddy for a while.
"Shall Uncle take you both to school to play?"
If they refused, Kawaki was ready to pull a fast one with shadow clones.
"Okay."
Unexpectedly, Kakashi and Kurenai responded in unison.
"Just behave yourselves once we get there."
"If you act up, don't blame me for spanking you later."
Kawaki placed the two toddlers on top of Little White and walked out the door.
"I do behave."
Kurenai nervously covered her bottom—she'd gotten plenty of spankings from Dad before.
"Yeah, sure!"
Kakashi was mischievous, and although Kawaki spoiled him endlessly, he had never laid a hand on him.
Little White carried the kids steadily, walking obediently close behind Kawaki.
"Don't believe me?"
"I'll just send you straight to your dad then."
Sakumo was always so serious, and Kakashi was a little scared of him.
"No! No! I'll be good!"
The threat hit right away—Kakashi immediately raised his hands in surrender.
"You brat—I've still got you figured out."
Kawaki smirked, proud of himself for scaring the kid straight. His steps were lighter now, almost bouncy.
Without using the Flying Thunder God technique, he slowly headed toward the academy with the two kids and one dog.
As he listened to Kakashi and Kurenai's sweet laughter, time seemed to slow down.
