Chapter 212 - Chapter 212: Pakura's Seal Release

Pakura quickly finished washing the dishes.

Orochimaru didn't have any servants, but she actually found it more homely.

After returning the dishes to their proper place, Pakura dried her hands and turned around to see Orochimaru still sitting in the same spot.

His long black hair and golden, slit-like pupils looked somewhat vacant, as if he was lost in thought.

The purple eyeshadow that stretched all the way to his nose appeared even more eerie against his pale skin.

The teal-blue earring shaped like a magatama hung motionless from his earlobes. Pakura found herself mesmerized by the sight.

"Finished already?"

Orochimaru's voice snapped her out of her daze.

"Eh, y-yeah... I'm done."

Pakura looked like a child caught red-handed—flustered and slightly embarrassed.

"Then I'll help you remove your seal now."

Orochimaru couldn't even imagine losing his powers, yet he had to admire how calm she remained despite it all.

"No rush. I'm going to take a shower first."

As if suddenly remembering something, Pakura hurriedly ran off.

"It'll be the same whether you shower before or after getting the seal removed."

Orochimaru called after her, but Pakura didn't even turn back.

"Still, she sure loves being clean."

Without thinking much of it, Orochimaru shook his head and headed toward the bedroom.

Pakura took clean clothes from her room and turned into the bathroom.

She closed the door behind her and began undressing slowly, her shapely figure emerging into the air.

Looking down, her right hand reached to the center just below her breasts.

There was an ugly black seal—the very thing suppressing her chakra.

A faint blush crept onto her cheeks, and warmth spread through her body.

After a moment, she turned on the shower, letting the cold water pour over her body.

Shaking her head, as though trying to fling away all sorts of messy thoughts.

Taking a deep breath, she adjusted her mindset.

Pakura carefully washed every inch of her skin.

Since arriving at Konoha, she'd noticed that her skin had become significantly fairer and smoother.

So much better than being battered by sandstorms day after day in the Land of Wind.

Rinsing off the bubbles, she shut off the shower and dried herself.

Her damp hair could be steam-dried once the seal was gone.

Dressed in fresh clothes, Pakura opened the door and walked out.

Standing at Orochimaru's bedroom door, she hesitated before summoning the courage to knock.

Knock knock~

"Come in. It's not locked."

Hearing Orochimaru's voice from inside, Pakura pushed the door open and entered.

She saw Orochimaru reading notes he'd written about Scorch Release, quite focused.

Even after such a long time, he hadn't made much progress with Scorch Release.

Scrolls had almost become a habit; his intellect allowed him to recite them from memory long ago.

Pakura closed the door and slowly walked over, sitting down opposite Orochimaru.

"You're wasting your time. Give it up," she said, clearly annoyed that he hadn't even looked at her.

"I suspect you're hiding it from me," Orochimaru finally set aside the scroll and looked at Pakura, a slight smirk forming on his lips.

"How dare I, my Lord Orochimaru," Pakura muttered, rolling her eyes. She'd practically handed him her birth certificate—what more could he possibly want?

"Good. I know you wouldn't risk it."

"Let's begin."

Orochimaru stood up and walked over to Pakura, still unaware of how serious this was.

"Uh... maybe we shouldn't do this after all."

"I've gotten used to it."

At the last moment, Pakura still wanted to pull out.

It wasn't that removing the seal was especially dangerous—it was just that the thought of revealing where the seal was on her body in front of Orochimaru made her embarrassed.

"What do you mean 'forget it'? I already got permission from Tsunade beforehand."

"And besides, with your chakra talent, you'll help me study Kekkei Genkai much more effectively."

Orochimaru immediately rejected Pakura's idea and pressed his hand down on her shoulder.

Powerless to resist, Pakura couldn't match Orochimaru's strength and was pinned firmly to the chair, unable to escape.

"You're hurting me. Can't I just go ahead and remove it?"

After struggling fruitlessly, Pakura could only reluctantly agree.

"There we go. Now show me where it is."

Orochimaru removed his hand and casually asked.

"H-here."

Hesitating for a moment, Pakura raised her finger and pointed to the location of the seal.

Then she lowered her head, too embarrassed to meet Orochimaru's gaze.

"What kind of job did Sakumo Hatake even do?"

Muttering to himself, Orochimaru found it a little ridiculous too.

Actually, it wasn't really Sakumo's fault. As long as the seal worked, who cared where exactly it ended up on the body?

Either prisoners or rogue ninja, Pakura might be the very first person to ever have a seal removed.

"Pardon? What did you say?"

Not hearing clearly, Pakura lifted her head to glance at Orochimaru before quickly looking away again.

"Nothing. It's just... this location..."

Even Orochimaru himself didn't know what to say anymore, momentarily at a loss for words.

"Forget it, it's fine. I'll be okay."

Saying that, Pakura tried to stand up and run away again.

"It's just one seal. We're both experienced ninja, after all."

Orochimaru wasn't even sure what he was saying anymore, but still reached out and pushed Pakura back into her seat.

The two remained there, face to face—one standing confidently, the other sitting uneasily.

"Just take off your clothes. I'll be quick."

Breaking the silence first, Orochimaru mentally prepared himself.

Better to endure a short pain than a long anxiety—it's best to get it over with.

His expression regained its usual coldness, as if nothing could possibly distract him.

"T-then turn around first."

Seeing that Orochimaru had made up his mind and knowing she was just a girl with no strength to resist, Pakura said resignedly.

"Fine."

Only after turning around did Orochimaru realize—he'd see it eventually anyway. What was the point?

As he listened to the rustling behind him, Orochimaru suddenly remembered something Tsunade had said.

Moments later, an image of a large pot slamming down onto Kawaki's head flashed through his mind.

"I'm done."

A nervous voice came from behind Orochimaru.

"Alright then, I'll turn around now."

Hearing Pakura softly confirm with a small "mm," Orochimaru slowly turned his body.

Smooth pale skin, noticeable curves, and Pakura's slightly trembling shoulders caused by nervousness—

His golden eyes widened slightly, and his heart began to race.

I've seen such things before, but the half-naked sight of battlefield injuries couldn't compare to the shocking scene right in front of me.

"How long are you going to keep staring?"

After Orochimaru remained silent for quite some time, Pakura gathered her courage and asked.

"Uh, right away."

Orochimaru briefly closed his eyes, then reopened them, took a deep breath, and stepped forward.

"Are you ready? It might hurt a bit."

Orochimaru glanced at the seal pattern, already matching the release code in his mind. Each seal pattern was different, requiring its own unique release technique.

"Mm, go ahead."

Pakura tilted her head up and pushed out her chest, fully exposing the entire seal pattern to Orochimaru.

Yet, the blush creeping down her face had already reached her neck, stark against her pale skin.

"Release."

Orochimaru formed a series of hand seals, slightly curled his fingers, and pressed firmly at the center of the seal pattern.

"Ahh~"

As Orochimaru poured more chakra into the seal, Pakura let out a pained cry.

The seal pattern faded from her skin at an astonishing speed.
