*The Turning point*
Ava and Eve fought valiently, but Jude advantage was clear. Just as it seemed he would emerge victorious.
Liam stumbled back into the fray .
"Not ... yet". Liam muttered,his eyes fixed on Jude.
With a surge of adrenaline, Liam launched himself at Jude, tackling him to the ground. The artifact flew from Jude's grasp,and Ava quickly caught it.
With a deep breath, Ava focused her energy and used the artifact's power to bind Jude, rendering him immobile.
" It's over," Ava said,her chest heaving with exertion.
Eve nodded,her eyes locked on Jude's. " We did it ."
Suddenly, Eve's expression changed. Her eyes gleamed with an unsettling intensity,and she reached out to Ava.
" Ava, give it to me ," Eve said ,her voice low and husky.
Ava was surprised. " What are you talking about, Eve ?"
" The artifact," Eve replied,her eyes fixed on the relic." I want it. I need its power."
Ava's grip on the artifact tightened. She knew she couldn't trust Eve with its power.
" What's going on , Eve? Why do you want the artifact ?" Ava asked.
Eve's expression didn't change,but her voice took on a sinister tone. "You know exactly why, Ava. The artifact's power is too powerful for one person to weild, but I'm willing to take that risk."
" You're not going to use its power for good , are you ?" Ava asked.
Eve's smile turned cold ." Good is subjective, Ava. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. "
Ava felt a chill run down her spine. She realized that Eve's loyalty had been a facade, and she had been playing her all along.
" Eve, stop this," Ava said, trying to reason with her. " We can find a way to use the artifact's power for good, together."
But eve's eyes flashed with anger. " You're weak, Ava. You're holding me back."
With a swift motion, Eve charged at Ava, determined to take the artifact. Ava prepared to defend herself,but she knew couldn't fight Eve and protect the city at the same time.
Ava and Eve faced off, their eyes locked in a fierce stare. The artifact's power pulsed through them, its energy crackling with anticipation.
" You've been playing me all along, " Ava said,her laced with anger and betrayal.
" I've been playing everyone. And now, it's time for me to take what's mine ." Eve replied.
"I knew it, I knew something wasn't right since when we've met, you were always so confident and calculating,never knew it was for your own benefits." Ava said, fumed with anger.
" Oh ,dear Ava ," Eve said, her smile turning into a loud laughter, which made Ava's anger to boil more. " You just weren't that smart to find out , you're so dumb, Ava. Look , I'm not here to chit - chat with you, give me that artifact and everything will be settled."
" You'll never get it , Eve, never," Ava said.
The battle began with Ava and Eve exchanging blows and showcasing their skills. Ava's determination and training were matched with Eve's cunning and power.
As they fought, the city's fate hung in the balance.
Liam stood in a corner, touching his now bruised face watched anxiously, knowing he had to stay out of the way.
The fight raged on, with neither side giving an inch.
Ava's emotions fueled her attacks,but Eve's skills and experience made her a formidable opponent. Eve landed a devastating blow, sending Ava crashing to the ground.
As Eve stood over Ava, artifact in hand, Ava realized she had made a mistake by underestimating Eve's strength and ambition.
But Ava refused to give up, she gave Eve a kick, sending her to fall to the ground, Ava lunged herself at Eve, fully determined to reclaim the artifact and save the city.
The final confrontation had reached its climax, only one person could emerge victorious.
In a burst of speed and strength, Ava managed to overpower Eve, pinning her to the ground. Ava stood tall, her chest heaving as beads of sweat dropped from her face , " it's over," Ava said, trying to catch her breath . " The artifact's power will be used for good."
" You'll never be able to ," Eve spat .
" I'll do all I can to make it possible." Ava replied.
With that, Ava led Eve away while Liam, tho in pains carried Jude . The elders of the community will deal with them.
