The road stretches forward like a dark ribbon, smooth and endless, disappearing into the quiet grip of the night. On either side, tall trees stand in disciplined rows at first, their branches arching overhead like a tunnel. Their leaves whisper softly whenever the wind stirs, creating a faint, restless murmur that never quite fades.
Streetlights line the roadside at measured intervals, casting warm pools of amber light onto the asphalt. Each glow breaks the darkness briefly, revealing fragments of the world—cracked pavement, drifting leaves, the pale trunks of trees—before the road slips back into shadow again. As you move forward, the lights seem to pulse in a rhythm: light, darkness, light, darkness, like a slow heartbeat guiding your path.
Gradually, the ordered rows of trees begin to thicken and lose their symmetry. The forest creeps closer, wilder and denser, until it presses in from both sides. The streetlights grow fewer, their reach shorter, as if even they hesitate to push too far into the deepening woods. Beyond their glow lies a darkness that feels heavy and alive, swallowing detail and depth.Suddenly, the streetlights went off one after another, and the whole road fell into darkness. At the same moment, the car began to struggle, affected by the sudden power failure.
Inside the car, the two parents exchanged worried glances. Their eyes then shifted to their sleeping six-year-old son in the back seat. He was the son of two Shadow Champions. He was born with Shadow already within him, as if it was part of his body—like a living force, almost cyborg-like in nature.
The father sighed and opened the car door. He stepped out into the dark road to check what had happened. After a few moments, the mother also stepped out to join him, leaving their son still asleep inside the car.
They stood together in the darkness, trying to understand what had caused the sudden failure, unaware that this night would change everything.
The creatures came out and exactly what they thought, it was aliens, they battled them but they kept coming without stopping. Finally they knew the only was to save their son is through sacrifice.
The mother shielded the car with her suit and herself while the father released all the energy in him
This destroyed everything in the area. The car was left alone on the destroyed road.
