Anna flickered her eyes open to feel the cold emptiness beside her. The other side of the bed was empty, and the pillow bore no trace of warmth.
She laid still for a moment, wondering if what happened last night was a dream or a reality.
But as she turned her head and looked around, seeing that she was not in her bedroom but Aidan's, it hit her like relief.
Last night was real.
She had slept with Aidan. And now he was gone.
She didn't know whether to be relieved or sad. Sleeping with Aidan would definitely complicate things, and she hoped he wouldn't take that as a yes to his offer.
She had no idea what had came over her last night. Perhaps, it was the thought that they would no longer see or be togerher like they used to. She couldn't deny she had missed him greatly, but sex with him was no way to subdue her feelings.
