Anna still couldn't form a word as she stared at Aidan who was patiently waiting for her to speak.
To say yes to his proposal
Or no.
But he was expecting a yes.
Instead, Anna shook her head, feeling a bit hazy and weary with exhaustion. Then she looked up and muttered. "I need to go now. Please."
Aidan didn't argue. Instead, he nodded quickly and took off his clothes, hurriedly putting on a simple shirt laying on the couch, as he said to her. "Let's go. I'll drive you."
Before Anna could reject his offer to drive her home, he was pulling her along with him towards a back door. He opened the door and they walked out, the evening air gushing through her.
She inhaled it, letting the fresh air clear her hazy mind.
Aidan signaled to one of the guards who gave him the car keys to a Ferrari, and he instructed. "Tell the Queen I'll be back by morning."
