The creation of Magic Armours required a specialised artisan profession: the Magic Armour Designer.
This was an artisan profession with strict prerequisites, requiring sufficient knowledge and proficiency in all three major artisan disciplines.
However, knowledge alone wasn't enough.
To awaken as a Magic Armour Designer, a candidate also had to possess a unique innate design talent that could converge knowledge from all three disciplines into a specialised field of craftsmanship. This talent gave rise to the defining characteristic of the Magic Armour Designer profession: the ability to grant Magic Armours spirituality.
This ability was what distinguished an Artisan from a Magic Armour Designer.
It was the awakening of this ability that had made Wilbert and Marcus Beginner Magic Armour Designers, while Sugud's failure to awaken it had left him an ordinary Artisan.
