Chapter 1 - Title: Princess charm school

Blair Willows never imagined that the halls of Princess Charm School would hold more secrets than lessons. She had barely adjusted to the sparkle of royal life—the etiquette lessons, the pressure of proving herself—when she stumbled upon something that changed everything.

It was late. The ballroom was empty, chandeliers casting soft golden light across the polished floor. Blair had planned to practice her waltz steps alone, but as she took her first step forward, a soft voice startled her.

"You dance like you were born to wear a crown."

Blair turned sharply, finding herself face-to-face with a mysterious figure—a girl with deep violet eyes, standing just at the edge of the candlelight.

"I—I didn't realize anyone else was here," Blair stammered.

The girl smiled knowingly, stepping forward. "Few do. And fewer ask the right questions."

There was something familiar about her, the golden crest on her uniform, the way she held herself like someone who belonged among royalty. But not at the academy. No, Blair had seen her somewhere else.

"Who are you?" she asked, heart racing.

The girl tilted her head, amused. "That's the real question, isn't it?" A pause. Then, softer: "And maybe, Blair Willows, it's time you learned the answer."

Blair swallowed hard. "How do you know my name?"

A whisper of wind stirred the ballroom, flickering the candles. The girl's gaze darkened, as if she was weighing her next words carefully.

"Because your story didn't begin when you arrived at Princess Charm School," she said. "It began long before...before you even knew who you truly were."

Blair's pulse quickened. "What do you mean?"

The girl reached into the folds of her gown, producing a small, ornate locket. She stepped forward and gently placed it in Blair's hands.

Blair's fingers trembled as she unlatched it. Inside, a miniature portrait, one that made her breath hitch.

It was a picture of her mother. But not just her mother.

Her mother, wearing the royal crest of Gardenia.

Blair's world spun.

"I think you already know what this means," the girl whispered. "You've always known, deep down."

The truth was unraveling, slipping between Blair's fingers like strands of starlight. She had never felt like she belonged in her old life, but she never imagined the reason why.

Was she...could she be a lost princess?

Blair looked up, and for the first time, she saw the girl's expression shift, not as a stranger revealing secrets, but as someone who had been waiting for her.

"My name is Celeste," the girl finally said, her voice laced with quiet reverence. "And I've been searching for you."

Blair's fingers trembled as she stared at the locket, the truth pressing down on her chest like the weight of a thousand unspoken stories. Her mother..a royal?. Which meant…

She was never meant to be just another student at Princess Charm School.

Celeste watched her carefully, as if giving Blair the space to process what she had just uncovered.

"I don't understand," Blair whispered, barely trusting her own voice. "If this is true, why was I hidden away?"

Celeste took a breath, stepping forward. "Because there were people who didn't want you to take your place."

Blair swallowed. A strange mix of fear and determination brewed in her chest. The idea of belonging to a royal bloodline of being someone important was overwhelming. But somehow, deep down, it felt right.

"You've been kept away from your true destiny," Celeste continued, voice laced with quiet urgency. "But time is running out. If you don't reclaim it soon, someone else will."

Blair looked down at the locket once more, her pulse quickening.

"I don't even know where to start," she admitted.

Celeste smiled softly. "You've already started, Blair. The truth found you—now it's your turn to find the rest."

A slow, determined breath filled Blair's lungs. Her whole life, she had dreamed of being more. Now, she had the chance to prove that she was.

No more doubts. No more fears.

She was Blair Willows and it was time to step into the legacy that had been waiting for her all along.
