Everyone rushed to Queen Melissa's side. The servants helped her up, but Rowan was not ready to call it a day just yet. Tears streamed down Adela's face as she stared daggers towards Rowan, but the man on the throne sat still and firm with no remorse.
"Take her to the western tower and have my physician take care of her. We will resume when he deems her fit to continue."
A loud gasp echoed, but none of the ministers dared utter a word.
"You're ruthless!" Adela yelled.
The servants helped Queen Melissa to the western tower, and Mason was waiting. A space was prepared and she was carefully placed on the soft spot.
"Everyone out," Mason demanded when the servants didn't leave.
"Out... do you want to kill my mother?" Adela snapped.
"You should be more concerned with saving her, not the other way around," Mason hissed and began work.
The queen was exhausted, and the shock of the day's events only helped spike adrenaline, making it run faster than the usual rate.
