A wedding has never ended as quickly as that of Prince Theron. The guests left disheartened, and gossip flew over the kingdom, but for kings, dukes, and princes who had travelled all the way from other kingdoms, a place was provided for them to stay a few days before beginning their journey back.
Queen Melissa walked into Theron's quarters, slamming the door hard behind her.
"Theron," she yelled, but the place was too quiet.
"Come out... don't make me come get you," she yelled, but still no one came forward.
For a place that swarmed with guards and maids, she found his change over the past months suspicious. He no longer partied hard or ordered the servants to do his every bidding. It was like the son she raised had suddenly vanished.
Queen Melissa stormed on her heels and walked out. But as she passed through the hallways, a figure approached her. Rowan looked disoriented, his suit jacket in his hand, his tie loosened, and his hair ruffled in a disorderly manner.
