He knew he showed his true self but he didn't care since they already know everything anyway. He eyes were red with puffed cheeks, he gritted his teeth as he said these words. Havila who was silent all this while while sitted next to Keveelsky asked him,"Is that so? so it is my mother's fault for having a capable mom? Why then were you not given anything by your mom? I heard she had quite a background as well. If you wanted payment, you could have told me. I could work in your company to repay the debts."
Mr Stans avoided eye contact with his niece. He was blinded by greed and he made a mistake but he could not tell them that he had not thought of squandering anything until his wife planted the idea in his mind. I f he falls today, he had to protect his wife and daughter so he went with the flow. But by Havila's question, he didn't know what to say so he kept quiet. Before he could calm down, he was ambushed by another burning question.
Mr Lorenti asked, "What about her relationship with that brat? didn't you know that you were harming her emotionally? You clearly let somebody else, an outsider at that, to play with your niece for seven good years. She lost her youth believing in something fake. What is your response to that?" He had investigated everything about Havila and he couldn't calm his temper down when he noticed that man lowering his head in cowardice. If he had the guts to do it, why is he afraid of telling them boldly? He was seething in anger as he asked," How could your family do that? You played with her trust and turned her into your toy, why?"
This time, it was Clarinda's mom who answered him back, "Why? that boy was my daughter's boyfriend first before he met Havila. I wouldn't let her have him and of course, i couldn't let her find the Delus grandson even more. That's why i asked Georgia for help. We didn't know it would go that far. That girl's mother was always high and mighty, she had everything at her beck and call. How could i let her daughter have everything and win my daughter then? that's why i did everything. It's a pity she died in childbirth."
She laughed evilly and said in undisguised disgust, but Havila once again chimed in"I guess what's meant to be yours will eventually be yours, that's why we are happily married now. If it wasn't for your daughter saying everything that day, i would still be living a lie up to today. i have to thank you for that." She then leaned on her husband leisurely as if she didn't say anything. Polycarp who was sited next to her saw her reaction and laughed out loud and gloated at her. He saw her threatening look and changed his statement to flattery.
He said," That's my beautiful sister. I always told you that the guy was a scum but you didn't believe me and buried your head in your 'handsome stranger' fantasy. Look, somebody almost took him away from you. I even wanted to introduce my brother to you but you gave me a beating. You should pay me for the injuries back then. You wasted your pure years on that scumbag and missed my handsome brother, even me was a better choice than him.. "before he finished he saw three pair of eyes glaring at him so he shut up.
He heard his phone chime then he took a look and saw a money transfer notification. Havila has transferred two million to his discord account. He sprung to his feet and carried her and swirled her around and said happily, "That's my sister. That's why i wanted you for my brother so that i could get money all the time. If i were to be your boyfriend or husband, i would be the one loosing money. Mwaa!" He even gave her a kiss. He caught everyone off guard and they were shocked and looked at him weirdly.
It was a different case for others though; Grandpa Delus, Mr Lorenti, Stanly and Keveelsky. They all shouted at the same time, BE CAREFUL! Keveelsky took Havila from him and asked her worriedly, "Are you okay?" he then caressed her belly. It was a subtle action but Polycarp who was next to them saw it clearly and realization dawned on him. He broke into a cold sweat and said,"Siz, you're okay, right?" Seeing her nod he heaved a sigh of relief and made a bow to his elder brother and said, "Bro, I'm sorry, I was too reckless. Please forgive me."
Even though Polycarp was a playful person,Keveelsky knew that he was a gentleman and an upright man. So seeing his remorseful face, he patted him on the shoulder and said, "It's okay as you've realized your mistake. Be more careful in the future." He then opened a bottle of water and gave it to Havila to take a sip. She took it and calmed down as well. They then sat down as she said, "I'm okay, we can go on. Thank you." All these series of events were an eyesore to a pair of mother daughter duo but Mr Stans was happy for Havila as he knew she found herself a good family to take care of her.
Polycarp was always a vibe, seeing the serene atmosphere, he said, "Right, what was i saying before you spoiled me with the money, yes, as i said, somebody almost took him away from you." Tamar heard his statement and said, "Thanks for the reminder, but nobody forced him to do anything." Stanly heard him and said, "The same way nobody forced you to abort your baby." Tamar was frightened and looked at everyone before asking silently, "How did you know about that? I was forced by the circumstances i was in."
Stanly hearing her explanation pointed at Kevelsky and asked, "And he was not?" Tamar wanted to refute but Grandpa Delus beat her to it. He ordered, "everyone, shut it. I don't want to remind my granddaughter of the dirty and evil past." He then pointed at Tamar's mum and asked,"You served at the hospital where Havila's mom delivered, right?" She said yes as she came prepared and already knew that she could not hide the truth any longer. When she was asked why she stole one of the twins, she narrated the whole story shocking everyone.
She closed her eyes then opened them slowly and stated, "Since our youth, I have always ....
