Blurred vision of Grayson comes forth as he can see ceilings passing fastly over him. His consciousness was coming and going after being shot.
He found himself being rushed down a hospital hallway on a stretcher, bright fluorescent lights blurring together above him. The frantic voices of medical staff echoed around him, their faces a mix of urgency and focus as they navigated the chaos. The sterile smell of antiseptic filled the air, mingling with the metallic tang of blood.
After a short time, he was taken to the operating theater, where the doctors removed the bullet from his body.
"The operation is successful. Thank God the bullet didn't hit any vital organs. He will gain his consciousness back soon". The Doctor informs Clara, Lila, and Sarah while waiting outside the Intensive Care Unit.
After some time, Grayson's eyes opened, and he found himself in a private medical facility. Sarah, Calara, and Lila surrounded his bed.
"Oh Thank God You opened your eyes". Sarah exclaimed in excitement.
Grayson managed a weak smile as he looked at his friends. "What happened?" he asked, his voice hoarse. Sarah leaned forward, gently taking his hand. "You had us all worried," she said softly. Lila said, "But you're safe now, and that's all that matters. We're just glad you're awake and on the mend."
"Where am I? hh..". Grayson spoke in a crunchy voice.
"Sir, you are in the medical facility right now. You got shot badly but the doctors have removed the bullet and they say that you will be fine?". Clara said, trying to explain the situation.
"But who tried to kill me?". Grayson put forward an important question they all were unaware of.
"We will find out, but you must rest for now," Sarah said while he held Grayson's hand, who was sitting beside the bed.
While everyone was there, Grayson received an unexpected visitor once again.
"What are you doing here?". Lila yelled, her eyes were red.
"I am here to take a look at Grayson. Is he alright?" Emery said, the pain in her voice evident.
Lila's rage increases, and she tries to block her way, but Grayson, from a side, signals Lila to get her inside.
As Emery stepped closer, the tension in the room became palpable. Sarah and Clara exchanged wary glances, unsure of Emery's intentions, while Lila's protective stance remained unyielding. Sensing the unease, Grayson tried to diffuse the situation by addressing the group, "Let's all calm down. I'm sure Emery means no harm."
"Believe me, I didn't know they were planning to kill you." Emery runs towards Grayson's bed and says to him, her voice shaking as she stops nearby.
For the first time, Grayson felt that what she was saying could be true, but his mind was not allowing him to buy his words. His mind was trapped between thoughts of believing Emery or not.
Grayson's mind was a whirlwind of doubt and suspicion, torn between his loyalty towards his friends and the lingering bond he had once shared with Emery. He wanted to trust her, to believe that she was as caught off guard by the attack as he was, yet the fear of betrayal kept gnawing at him. "My father has sparked a deal with someone bigger than him, but I don't know who," Emery said, wrinkles all around her forehead and a sudden vibration in her legs as the words came out of her mouth.
"Watch her closely". Grayson orders Lila as Emery leaves the place.
While Grayson was recovering at the medical facility, he was unaware that his enemies were making their moves to destroy Grayson publicly.
Marcus, with Jordan's help, tries to hit the key locations of Monarch Enterprises and also forges corruption and fraud charges against Grayson.
Grayson felt a growing sense of anxiety as the weight of the accusations and betrayals threatened to crush him. The thought of his life's work being dismantled and his reputation tarnished filled him with dread. "Let's give the news to a news channel. Let this be his public humiliation. Hahaha." An evil smile turns their faces red as they speak to publicly humiliate Grayson.
"Grayson Blackwell. From a powerful businessman to a criminal". The news was all over the news channels.
"The Police have charged the billionaire with corruption and fraud charges. The Police are saying that they will investigate the matter and will get to the depth of this". The public humiliation of Grayson tore him from the inside.
But he swore inside himself that he would not spare him like this and that he would go to the end of this war.
"They think I am weak. I will show their real faces to the world". Grayson grinned his teeth.
At the office…
Lila performs an intense investigation and finds some mind-shaking information from Grayson's old house.
She discovers that Grayson's power is behind all the global investments, which means he controls them.
He has enough power to wipe out Richard's business and Monarch Enterprises if he wants to.
Lila gets her hands on some essential documents from the house.
The contract states, "Grayson should not be able to receive his inheritance."
Her spine shivered, and a sense of current filled her body as she read that document.
After Several Days….
Grayson, fully recovered, gets to the office and calls the emergency meeting to discuss further plans with his allies.
"We are done playing defensive. Now we will strike back." This was Grayson's agenda for the meeting.
Grayson reveals his plan in front of the meeting members:

We will launch an aggressive financial takeover of the Richards' business, forcing them into bankruptcy.
