Kai's POV
"Why are you resigning?"
I woke up to the loud ringing of the doorbell, and I didn't expect to see the CEO outside my door. He already called me to demand an explanation about my resignation last two days ago, but I refused to explain my reason.
Now, he's sitting on my couch, looking at me with a dark expression on his face. He was demanding an answer like my resignation matters more than his appointment for today.
My expression remained calm and straight as I sat in front of him. The two cups of coffee were untouched on the center table between us.
"I'm not gonna waste time coming here just to get an answer if your performance has not been excellent, Kai. You were promoted earlier than any other employees because of your performance, and letting you go like this is a big waste on my part."
"I have personal issues to deal with, Sir. I apologize for the sudden resignation and I also apologize for wasting this opportunity," I answered honestly but carefully.
