BACK to zero. Our relationship was like a magnet. A constant push and pull. That was the only constant. I was driving my car to the office when I accidentally glanced at the passenger seat.
My teeth gritted. Zane rode a taxi today, and Thorn said he left early.
This is for the best.
He's already promised to my sister, and I don't wanna hurt my sister this way. I love her so much. She's the only important person in my life.
And it's not like I'll lose something if we fall apart. We're not even friends.
My morning was peaceful just like my mornings before he arrived to mess with my every day. My routine was just ruined because of him. Now, everything will go back to normal.
Strangely, when I stepped into the executive office, I felt him. I looked around and caught a pair of orbs watching me darkly.
It was him.
