Kai's POV
THE CITY lights were blurred in my vision as I drove my car home. My fingers were wrapped tightly around the steering wheel as my jaws constantly clenched. My eyes were sharp. My breathing was even but heavy.
The adrenaline from what just happened still buzzed in my veins, keeping me angry. Dante Collins' words lingered in my head. I didn't regret going. I needed to face him. I needed to look him in the eye and tell him I wouldn't play his sick little game.
I knew it's hard to face him without anything I can use against him, but I needed to make sure that he won't expose the picture just yet.
I will find a way to lure him and make him pay for threatening me. But the rage inside me hadn't settled. It simmered. Low and volatile.
I can't believe he wanted to use me against Zane, a completely useless trick.
When I arrived home, the maid opened the door for me. The lights were dimmed. The whole mansion was silent, like always.
I stepped inside, removing my coat.
