If Kakashi remembered correctly, the Third Raikage endured three days and three nights under the continuous onslaught of ten thousand shinobi.
And in the end, he died of exhaustion.
In other words, those ten thousand shinobi couldn't even break through the Third Raikage's defense.
There was no good way to deal with a monster like that.
Kakashi was taken aback by the Hidden Stone's grand scheme upon arriving at the territory they prepared to deal with the Third Raikage. They hadn't mentioned before that they could transfer the entire terrain into the Land of Earth.

Summoning pre-prepared torches from a scroll, the Uchiha youth lit one and held it in his hand as the passage behind them sealed off.
"It's actually a maze-like tunnel. They initially said it was an open area, which is different from what they said before."
Kakashi had a premonition that the Third Tsuchikage, that old man, had no intention of letting him and Uchiha Shisui out. If he didn't have his coordinate teleportation, he wouldn't have dared to enter this place.
"This is a teleportation similar to Flying Thunder God. If you encounter danger, crush it immediately."
He handed Shisui a bamboo stick, and the latter silently took it and nodded.
"Split up or go together?"
"Let's split up. I should be able to reach you quickly once you start fighting."
"Alright."
The silent underground tunnel looked nothing like a place that would trap a monster like the Third Raikage; it was more like an old, dilapidated underground air-raid shelter. But Kakashi knew this was just the prelude to battle; the Hidden Stone had not yet officially launched their attack inside.
Underground, sensing capabilities were much higher than on the surface. Shisui's sensing wasn't weak either, and Kakashi believed he could feel that powerful chakra just as he could.
And the countless Hidden Stone chakra signatures buried in the surrounding earth.
This terrain was filled with killing intent everywhere. If one tried to force their way out, they would likely be immediately restricted by the Added-Weight Rock Technique.
Truly troublesome.
But that was only for the Third Raikage.
"Fizzle, boom"
A thunderous roar, along with the sound of exploding earth, immediately spread to every corner of the underground area. The Third Raikage had actually couldn't help but make the first move, a swift, precise, and ruthless strike instantly pulverizing the Hidden Stone shinobi who was lurking beneath his feet, waiting for a chance to unleash the Earth Rising Spear.
A shinobi of that level wouldn't even have room to resist after taking a single punch.

The booming roar penetrated the ground and reached the Third Tsuchikage's ears. The Tsuchikage's expression remained unchanged as he slammed his hand downwards.
"Earth Release: Thorn Pursuit Rupture."
The Earth Release ninjutsu cast by the Third Tsuchikage possessed infinite sustain within this terrain. These earth spikes could perpetually exist in chakra-infused soil, thus forcing the Third Raikage to continuously use his Lightning Release Armor for defense.
"Thud, thud, thud"—the earth spikes that struck the Third Raikage shattered into rocks, which then sank back into the ground. A few seconds later, the relentless assault continued.
The remaining Hidden Stone shinobi underground also began using various Earth Release ninjutsu they excelled at, but their power and rank were not high. While maintaining the consumption of Materialization, this was the only level of Earth Release they could use, better than nothing.
Larger Earth Release jutsu would also be of little use beyond causing cave-ins.
Only 50 meters remained, but there were still seven or eight earth walls in between. Kakashi continuously searched for the closest position within the maze, guided by the chakra's direction.

Uchiha Shisui's heart was surprisingly calm at this moment. In 5 seconds, he would engage the Third Raikage.
