Chapter 131: Nameless Dojutsu
"Get on, unless you want to run all the way to the Land of Earth, hmm."
Logaro was the first to jump onto the white clay giant bird with a wingspan exceeding 10 meters, followed closely by Kakashi and Uchiha Shisui,
boarding one of the ninja world's few aerial transport methods.
The silver-haired youth, who had experienced airplanes before, didn't take this seriously at all. At a mere few hundred meters in altitude, though it seemed high,
it was nowhere near comparable to an airliner from his previous life, and even the speed was far inferior.
For Logaro, such altitudes were naturally commonplace due to his own ninjutsu. Among the three present, the only one who hadn't experienced high altitudes
was Uchiha Shisui.
Compared to the calm expressions of the other two, even though the peach-eyed youth had gone through many significant events and possessed formidable strength,
he still revealed an expression akin to a country bumpkin, which became even more exaggerated upon seeing the buildings below shrink to ant-like sizes.
Logaro greatly enjoyed the surprised expressions of others standing on his bird; for him, it was an acknowledgment of his art.
However, seeing the composed silver-haired youth, Logaro felt his bird might not be flying fast enough,
so he injected more chakra, increasing the clay bird's speed by several folds. The icy air and cold wind at high altitude
felt like sharp knives carving into one's face.
The solution was simple: just coat one's body with a layer of chakra.
Logaro was surprised that Hatake Kakashi remained so calm, so he commanded the giant bird to perform several 360-degree rotations,
but because the former's feet were firmly adhered to the bird, it had no effect whatsoever, instead almost making Logaro himself nauseous.
Could he fly too?
This expression made the elite of the Explosion Corps somewhat suspicious; he could only guess this, while also making the giant bird's flight
return to normal, flying in a straight line towards the Land of Earth's camp.
The silver-haired youth watched the back of the Explosion Corps member from atop the bird. The scenery below constantly shifted, leaving the Hidden Rain Village,
leaving the Land of Rain, and crossing the border between the Land of Rain and the Land of Earth.
The journey was unobstructed, so smooth that Kakashi felt that, to some extent, the Flying Thunder God Jutsu might not even be as useful
as the ability to fly.
Moreover, there were simply too few weapons and ninja in the ninja world capable of posing a threat from the air. In a situation like Logaro's,
as long as he didn't court death, he could survey all of a country's defenses without harm, easily infiltrate a country's heartland,
and even destroy important facilities, truly a Hokage-era bomber.
In the original work, Deidara openly abducted their Kazekage, Gaara, from the Hidden Sand Village, the heart of the Land of Wind (one of the Five Great Nations),
thereby successfully crowning the Hidden Sand Village as the weakest and most disgraceful among the Five Great Nations.
The Kazekage being abducted required neighboring ninja to send aid. If the Third and Fourth Kazekage were still alive then,
they might have committed suicide to atone to the people of the Land of Wind.
The Hidden Rain Village needed to add an anti-air weapon development project, and he himself needed to learn a flying ninjutsu.
The silver-haired youth thought silently.
This technique, perhaps he could seek out that fellow from the Land of Lightning, Shinnō.
He hailed from the Land of Sky, a country where everyone could fly, and it even possessed black technology capable of functioning as an aircraft carrier.
He absolutely had to acquire these techniques.
At his current stage, Kakashi wasn't at all afraid that Shinnō would pose a threat to him. If Shinnō had merged with the Zero-Tails, it would be another matter,
but without the Zero-Tails, his combat strength was, at most, at the level of a regular Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.
Dealing with several opponents of that caliber simultaneously was no problem.
The scenery below changed from humid forests to vast, barren yellow lands, with large expanses of exposed rock towering tens of meters high from the ground,
no less impressive than the buildings of the Hidden Rain Village.
The giant bird, having reached above the clouds, descended through the thick cloud layer, diving towards the ground to find an open space for landing.
The Land of Earth's climate was relatively dry; compared to the Land of Rain, this was the climate a neighboring country of the Land of Wind ought to have. The air
no longer held humid moisture, and the sun's light was diluted by the clouds, revealing a somewhat gloomy atmosphere.
Just like the densely gathered Hidden Stone Village ninja below.
The ninja, uniformly clad in red long-sleeved shirts and brown combat vests, were bustling in an orderly fashion, relaying various messages from the front lines.
Uchiha Shisui, who had never seen such a large assembly of ninja, exclaimed:
"Are all of these Hidden Stone Village Jonin and Chunin?"
"Hmm, conservatively estimated, there are five to six thousand here, probably around ten thousand total. The other four to five thousand are likely already fighting on the front lines."
"You two, come with me. I'll take you to meet the old man Tsuchikage, hmm."
Recalling his clay giant bird, Logaro called the two Hidden Rain Village ninja and navigated through the earthen huts of the camp. Ten
minutes later, they found an absurdly red earthen hut located at the very back.
Inside sat the short but powerful Third Tsuchikage. He was seated on a high stone chair, looking down
upon Uchiha Shisui and Hatake Kakashi.
"You two, are both of you from the Uchiha clan?"
The aged yet robust voice indicated that Onoki still possessed considerable combat capability. Kakashi dared not be careless.
The destructive power of the Dust Release Kekkei Tota was evident to the entire ninja world. Even the Fourth Kazekage and Third Raikage, renowned for their defense,
wouldn't dare claim they could withstand a single Particle Style: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu.
It was only a matter of time before this guy became his enemy. Fortunately, Dust Release wasn't quick to deploy, so it likely couldn't keep up with his own speed.
The actual combat would depend on how he dealt with the Third Raikage.
"He is, I am not."
"What's your name?"
"Uchiha Shisui."
Squinting slightly, Onoki had heard of the moniker "Shisui of the Body Flicker."
"And what's your name?"
"Hatake Kakashi."
"Hatake... the descendant of the White Fang of the Leaf?"
"Yes."
"The Hidden Rain Village is truly a den of hidden talents. I didn't expect that besides the Uchiha, even the Hatake clan would relocate there. However, what I told
your leader Yahiko was that I only wanted Uchiha clan members, not anyone else."
"Third Tsuchikage-sama, are you doubting my strength?"
"What I require are ocular jutsu and genjutsu. I recall your Hatake clan excels in swordsmanship. How much help can you be to us?"
"Oh, so that's it. Don't worry, I also possess ocular jutsu."
Slightly infusing some chakra into his left eye, Kakashi's mechanical left eye emitted a faint blue glow, forming a line in the darkness of the earthen hut,
capturing all of Onoki's attention.
"What kind of ocular jutsu is this?"
"A nameless ocular jutsu. It might not catch your esteemed eye, but against the Land of Lightning, I should be able to provide some assistance."
