Chapter 80 - Chapter 80: Joseph's School Motto – We Will Do Anything!

"Great gift crab special! Mr. Stark is our honorary headmaster?"

"He's not even a Mutant! Why would he be willing to take the role?"

"What kind of school is this anyway? The X-Men, Magneto, top doctors in various fields, a princess, the CEO of Stark Industries… are all our teachers?!"

"Am I dreaming right now?!"

"I really thought Xavier's School only taught us how to control our superpowers and keep us safe…"

"Who could've imagined it would be this powerful?!"

"So Mutants will really be able to walk in the sun from now on—not just as propaganda—but for real?!"

"Someone hold me, I think I'm about to faint!!"

The crowd's excitement exploded the moment Iron Man appeared. Cheers erupted, students danced with joy, some couldn't form coherent sentences. The noise came and went in waves, lasting far longer than expected. For the parents watching, their last shred of concern over sending their children to Xavier's School vanished. After all, if even Iron Man stood behind this school as its honorary principal, what else was there to worry about?

Their choice was made.

Remy LeBeau, known to many as Gambit, stood off to the side, watching with a complicated expression. His gaze fell on Wolverine—Logan—standing behind Professor Xavier. With a soft mutter, he asked himself, "Did Xavier's School really grow to this level while I wasn't looking? Maybe sticking with Logan all those years ago was the right choice after all."

Remy's powers had always been formidable, and his intelligence sharp. Even in times when the world turned darker for Mutants, he had managed to live well. But that didn't mean the life was sweet—it just meant he endured it quietly.

Nearby, Clarice—known as Blink—also wore a conflicted look. "Does this mean... I'll never be hunted or imprisoned again?"

'Angel' Warren Worthington's eyes shimmered with tears. "Father… one day, you'll understand. Being born a Mutant doesn't make me a monster. I'm the pride of the Worthington family."

Lorna Dane—Polaris—locked eyes with Magneto. Something about the man stirred a sense of familiarity deep inside her.

Joseph stood silently, watching everything unfold.

When the crowd finally calmed down, he stepped forward. His voice was measured and warm.

"Of course, professors like Dr. Banner and Mr. Stark offer advanced-level courses. Naturally, only university-level students will be allowed to attend those lectures."

As he spoke, he raised a hand. A shimmering wall of water rose behind him, forming a massive arc. On top of this water stood dozens of ordinary teachers—men and women from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. Every one of them wore a calm and professional expression. None appeared reluctant or hesitant.

These weren't just volunteers—they were carefully chosen educators. Joseph had invested considerable effort and resources in hiring them. After all, basic education didn't require famous heroes or scientists—just committed, quality teachers.

Many of them were drawn by the generous salaries. Others came because they believed in the cause.

As Joseph waved his hand, two streams of water extended out, gently transporting the educators to the shore.

"There's no need to introduce them all right now," he explained. "In time, you'll come to know them. They'll be your guides through elementary and middle school."

Then Joseph's tone shifted slightly.

"Now, let's move on to the Q&A portion."

He looked at the crowd. "If any of you—students or parents—have questions about the academy, now's the time to ask."

Instantly, dozens of hands shot up. The freshmen were clearly ready. The magical opening ceremony had swept away their anxiety and fear. Whether young or old, they had begun to accept their new identity as students of Xavier's School.

Joseph was pleased by this reaction.

He pointed toward Polaris, who had caught his attention earlier.

"Yes, you there."

Polaris stood up, visibly more respectful than before. Her voice trembled slightly. "Senior Joseph… where are we supposed to have classes? This manor… it doesn't look like it can house us all."

It was a valid concern—and one shared by many in the crowd.

Even the professors looked curious. After all, aside from the main building, the entire manor was surrounded by emptiness. When Siren and the others first enrolled, Logan had suggested building housing, but Joseph had stopped him.

Now, it all made sense.

Joseph gave a small smile and looked at Xavier. "Actually, the idea for this next part came from Principal Charles himself. He felt that, as the honorary headmaster and a recent graduate, it was only fitting for me to teach the first class."

Xavier raised a brow. That's not exactly what I meant…

Joseph stepped forward, his expression shifting from casual to piercing.

"But before I do that, let me ask you all a question."

His voice deepened. "Mutants possess superpowers. But how well do you actually understand your own abilities?"

The students blinked, confused.

He continued, "What is a superpower? Take Professor Logan, for example. His self-healing factor lets him recover from nearly any wound. But is that all? Is he simply immortal?"

"Or Professor Scott—Cyclops. He shoots powerful lasers from his eyes. But is that his only function? Just an attack when something angers him?"

Joseph began to pace slowly. "Some of you can control fire. Some of you control magnetic fields. Some teleport. Some fly. But is that really all your powers are for?"

The silence was heavy.

Even Professor X and Magneto looked puzzled, uncertain where this was going.

In the crowd, Tony Stark's eyes lit up with interest.

"I understand these are big questions," Joseph admitted. "So let me simplify them…"

"Why did humanity evolve to have Mutants at all? Why do these powers even exist? Why are they so random and inconsistent? Why haven't we all developed something more uniform—like increased intelligence or longer lifespans?"

"There must be a reason."

His voice suddenly grew louder, sharper, shaking the crowd like a thunderclap.

"Using a power is not the same as mastering it. That's what we'll explore here at the academy."

"To understand our abilities. To develop them. To figure out what they mean for us—and for the world."

"To discover… the next step of evolution!"

Many Mutants in this world simply relied on instinct to use their gifts. That wasn't enough. Joseph wanted to move from primitive power to refined control—from accidental talents to scientific mastery.

He wasn't just building a school.

He was laying the foundation for a civilization.

"So," he declared, "as honorary headmaster, let me announce the first official school motto of the new Xavier's School."

He raised his arm, his eyes burning with light.

"We learn, master, develop, and evolve our superpowers. And one day… we will be unstoppable!"

Right at that moment, the ground began to tremble.

Before anyone could react, the earth beneath their feet surged upward.

Out of the dirt, massive clay titans—each ten meters tall—rose from the earth. Each held a long table on its back.

Ten titans. Ten massive tables. Ten groups of freshmen barely able to hold onto the edges.

And still, it wasn't over.

The water beneath Joseph swirled upward, raising him high into the air. He stretched out his hand—and the ground below responded. It twisted, split, and reshaped.

Trees yanked themselves from the soil and reformed into thick beams. Their bark vanished, leaving smooth timber. Streams bent and flowed to form glassy windows. Leaves gathered into archways. Vines weaved into bridges and staircases.

In mere minutes, a grand castle complex had formed.

Not a single brick had been laid.

It was alive—organic and surreal.

Multiple towers rose high into the sky. Paths of giant leaves connected platforms, fireflies of stardust drifted through the air, and glowing stairs floated between sections. Every part of the structure pulsed with natural energy.

Inside the castle were distinct areas for classes, activities, and dormitories. On the edges stood four tall towers, each reserved for the professors' laboratories.

By the time the construction ended, the entire audience was dumbstruck.

The scale. The artistry. The power.

Every Mutant there knew—they would never forget this moment.

This was the school motto in action.

We will be unstoppable.

A whisper spread like wildfire through the students.

"We will… be omnipotent."

Even seasoned figures like Magneto, Professor X, and Dr. Strange looked on in awe. Nick Fury and Phil Coulson, watching from afar, rubbed their eyes.

"Did… did he just restructure thousands of molecular formations like it was nothing?" Coulson whispered.

Nobody answered.

Meanwhile, students who had missed the opening ceremony—like John the Burning Man and Bishop—were arriving in vans full of luggage, staring in awe at the rising castle.

Joseph, floating atop a column of water, addressed the students once more.

"So… how about a tour?"

He waved his left hand gently.

Dozens of glowing badges appeared in midair and attached themselves to the students' chests.

Each badge bore a unique design: a crossed staff and ancient book, forming an "X"-shaped crest.

This was the academy's badge—an entry pass to the castle, personally bound to each student. And when the time came, it could also protect them from harm.

The students glanced at their badges in awe.

And just like that, the ten earthen titans began their march up the hill—carrying Xavier's newest batch of dreamers into the future.
