Chapter 2 - 2. SSD Squad 6 Commander Rose

16 years had passed since the Rift Walkers first emerged. The world was still reeling from the attacks, and the SSD were working tirelessly to protect civilians and find a way to close the rifts.

Suddenly a loud rumble echoed through the city. A military tank seemed to defy gravity, flying through the air with a trail of destruction behind it. The tank's metal body glinted in the sunlight as it hurtled towards a nearby building. The tank crashed into the building, sending debris flying everywhere. Concrete chunks and twisted metal were hurled through the air, as if propelled by an unseen force. The impact was immense, and the sound of crumbling concrete and twisted metal filled the air.

The scene felt disjointed, like pieces of a puzzle that didn't quite fit together - the tank's sudden flight and the destruction it caused seemed almost random, without clear context or warning.

Kzzzt... Kzzt..._ HQ: "I have urgent news," a voice said, sounding hurried. "A rift has opened up, and a big baboon with horns has emerged from it. Squad 6 is currently dealing with it." Suddenly, a massive tree branch shot through the air, as if launched by an invisible hand. It struck the agent with incredible force, sending him flying without giving him a chance to react or defend himself. The tree branch and the agent crashed to the ground, and the radio device was knocked loose, landing with a thud. _Kzzzt... Hello? Agent, are you still there?_

The scene shifted to Squad 6, who stood frozen in front of a terrifying creature. It was a massive, horned baboon-like creature, easily three times the size of any normal baboon. Its fur was dark brown, and its eyes glowed with an otherworldly energy. A deep scar ran across its left eye, giving it a menacing appearance. The creature's horns were long and twisted, sharp enough to rip through steel. The creature stood imposingly, its presence commanding the attention of the more than 20 SSD agents of Squad 6, none of whom were showing any personal characteristics or reactions beyond alertness. The agents stood still, their eyes fixed on the creature, waiting for orders or a chance to strike.

A stunning young lady, with raven-black hair cascading down her back, walked confidently in front of Squad 6, it was Rose the leader and commander of the SSD Squad 6. Her SSD-marked short swords ripped tight in her hands, and her fitted black and white suit accentuated her curves. A short black skirt revealed her toned legs, and her ample chest was evident beneath her jacket. Her beauty was undeniable, but her fierce determination was what truly commanded attention.

"Okay, SSD Squad 6!" she shouted, her voice ringing out across the battlefield. "Are you all ready to make this Rift Walker rest in peace?"

The SSD Squad 6 agents, all dressed in matching black and white suits, responded in unison: "Yes!"

With a fierce battle cry, Squad 6 charged towards the massive baboon-like creature. Those armed with guns began to fire, bullets ricocheting off the surrounding buildings as the baboon charged forward.

The baboon swiftly dodged a hail of bullets, its movements lightning-fast. With a sudden burst of strength, it grasped a nearby tree trunk and ripped it from the earth. The tree's roots snapped like whipcracks as the baboon hurled the massive trunk at the agents.

The tree trunk hurtled through the air, its bark shattering as it smashed into the agents. Some leapt out of the way just in time, dodging the trunk by mere inches. Others weren't so fortunate. The impact was brutal, crushing chests and shattering bones. Agents screamed as they were sent flying, their bodies broken and battered.

One agent's ribcage caved in beneath the trunk's crushing weight, his eyes wide with shock as he slid to the ground. Another agent's leg twisted at an unnatural angle, her screams echoing through the air as she clutched her mangled limb.

Without pausing, the baboon seized a nearby car and lifted it overhead. For a moment, it seemed to pause, savoring the weight of its makeshift projectile. Then, with a mighty roar, it launched the car at the agents.

The car soared through the air, its metal body glinting in the sunlight. Time seemed to slow as the agents watched in horror, frozen in anticipation. The car crashed down, its front end crumpling as it slammed into the agents. The impact was deafening, a cacophony of crunching metal and snapping bones.

Agents were pinned beneath the wreckage, their bodies mangled beyond recognition. Blood and oil spilled from the crushed car, mixing with the dirt and debris. The agents' screams were drowned out by the sound of crunching metal and snapping bones.

The baboon stood tall, its chest heaving with exertion, as it surveyed the destruction it had wrought. The SSD agents, however, refused to back down. They charged forward, determined to take down the Rift Walker and avenge their fallen comrades.

The baboon continued its relentless onslaught, targeting the agents one by one. Its massive fists pummeled them, sending bodies flying and screams echoing through the air. The agents were no match for the Rift Walker's brute strength.

One agent tried to dodge, but the baboon's fist caught him mid-air, crushing his ribcage. As the baboon sent the agent crashing to the ground, another agent quickly closed in on the baboon attempted to shoot it, but the baboon quickly swatted the gun aside and delivered a devastating blow, sending the agent's body flying into a nearby wall and falling to the ground.

The baboon swiftly jumped and stomped down on the agent, its massive weight crushing him beneath its feet. The sound of snapping bones and screams filled the air as the agent desperately tried to defend himself.

The baboon spotted one agent cowering in fear and reached down, grabbing him with both hands. With a swift motion, it squashed the agent, compressing his body into a grotesque ball of flesh and bone. The agent's screams were cut short as his body was distorted beyond recognition.

The baboon hurled the mangled body at one of the agents who was running away. The agent didn't even have time to react as the twisted mass of flesh and bone hit him, sending both of them crashing to the ground.

The baboon's chest heaved with exertion, its eyes scanning the area for its next victim. The remaining agents cowered in fear, knowing they were no match for the Rift Walker. Rose then leapt forward, her short swords gripped tightly in front of her. The blades shimmered as she positioned them to block the baboon's attack.

The baboon's massive fist came crashing down, and Rose's swords absorbed the impact, the force sending her flying backward. Rose landed hard on the ground, her body slamming into the pavement. She struggled to her feet, her eyes locked on the baboon.

The remaining agents, however, had lost their nerve. They began to back away, their voices laced with fear. "Lady Rose, we can't fight against this baboon! It's too strong! Let's call for Squad 1," one of the agents pleaded.

Rose stood tall, her gaze never wavering from the baboon. "If you all want to run, then run," she said, her voice firm and commanding. "But as the leader and commander of SSD Squad 6, I will not retreat. And I will not lose to a monkey."
