After the spars, all four of them did some training. Ryuma helped Kazuki with kenjutsu, and Kazuki helped him with ninjutsu.
Yuki suggested that he should learn wind clones because they consume way less chakra than even fire clones.
As the sun started to set, Yuki and Kazuki began walking home.
When they reached the compound, dinner was already ready, and Urahara was sitting at the dining table.
Aika served the dinner. Kazuki and Yuki joined them.
After dinner, Kazuki told Urahara that he needed some Senju clan-exclusive ninjutsu to improve his arsenal.
Urahara said, "I'm sorry, Kazuki, but right now, I can't give you any scrolls because if I do, people will know from your jutsu that you have a relationship with the Senju clan. They're already suspicious."
Kazuki said, "You're right. I thought this would be the case."
Urahara added, "But don't be discouraged. You can take the ninjutsu scrolls after you graduate because once you become a shinobi, you're considered an adult and can make your own decisions. Only the Hokage and the clan can force their decisions on you. I have a good relationship with the Hokage, and the Uchiha clan doesn't care about you, so they won't interfere even if you become an official member. But I'll recommend against it until you're strong enough."
Kazuki squinted his eyes and said, "But why would you recommend I not become an official member?"
Urahara said, "There are powers other than the Hokage that work from the shadows. It's better if you don't know about them."
Kazuki thought, 'Is he talking about Danzo? It makes sense. He probably has some bad relationship with the Senju clan. That's why Lord Urahara is so worried, and there are so many guards around Yuki every time she goes out. Could that also be the reason why both of them weren't in the anime? Were they assassinated before the events in the anime started? If that's the case, then I'll have to keep an eye out if both Yuki and Urahara go out of the village together. I'll have to become stronger if I even want to stand a chance against Root.'
After a few minutes, Kazuki left the Senju compound and reached home.
The next day, Kazuki took the wind clones scroll from the library and went to his training spot to learn it. It was very easy because he already knew three types of clone jutsu, so it only took him two days to learn.
After a few more days of practicing the Wind Clone Jutsu, Kazuki found out that he could make eight shadow clones, 27 fire clones, or 35 wind clones with full chakra reserves.
He thought, 'The difference in chakra usage isn't too high but still considerable, probably because my affinity for fire is much higher than for wind.'
The next day, Kazuki went to the library and took a scroll of a D-rank genjutsu.
He came home and read it in his apartment.
He thought, 'So, this is the genjutsu that Kakashi used on Sakura during the bell test. It can be useful against amateurs or those who don't know anything about genjutsu, but everyone in the academy was taught the basic way of breaking a genjutsu.'
He continued, 'So, what this genjutsu does is basically make the opponent see their worst fear, just like how Sakura saw Sasuke dying when Kakashi used this jutsu against her. And this jutsu is performed by making eye contact with the opponent. Yeah, there's more detail to it, but I was quite surprised when I read that this jutsu doesn't require the Sharingan. Any eye can make eye contact and use this jutsu; the Sharingan just makes the genjutsu more powerful and easier to use and learn. I shouldn't learn many genjutsu until I get the Sharingan.'
He realized, 'Wait, how will I practice a genjutsu? Should I use it on a shadow clone of mine? That way, I can also conquer my biggest fear. I wonder what that would be because this genjutsu shows you fears that you never knew even existed. The name of this genjutsu is Demonic Illusion: Death Mirage Jutsu.'
After a few weeks, Kazuki was finally able to perform the genjutsu on one of his shadow clones.
The shadow clone's surroundings went black, and he suddenly found himself in a room, on a bed.
There were many unusual things there that he was sort of familiar with. His eyes went toward a laptop, and he realized he was in the modern world. He quickly went outside his room and saw his parents and his big sister casually sitting there while drinking tea.
Kazuki's mind went blank; he couldn't think straight anymore. Then suddenly, his parents started scolding him, saying stuff like he was the worst son who just disappeared without caring about them, after everything they did for him, he returned the favor by just disappearing, even saying that he should have never existed, from the side, even Yuki and other people he knew started taunting him.
Tears streamed down Kazuki's eyes from the sight in front of him.
Then suddenly, the genjutsu broke, and the surroundings returned to normal.
Kazuki said with an intense expression, "Hey, what happened? Why are you crying? Was it something that bad?"
His clone replied with a weak voice, "It was scary and horrible. You don't want to see it, trust me."
Kazuki replied, "Whatever it was, it wasn't real, so just relax. I'm dispelling you, okay?"
Kazuki dispersed his clone and received all his memories. Tears formed in his eyes, but he was prepared for it. He had already guessed what it was from the state of his clone.
He thought, 'Relax, Kazuki. It wasn't real. It wasn't real. Even if I somehow woke up and found out it was all a dream, my parents would never act like this. They're not that kind of people. They always treated me so kindly and always did their best for me. It's just the genjutsu showing me something that would hurt me the most. I can't go back to that world; it was all fake. Its not like I don't love my parents or anything, its just the guild that I was never able to return the favor to them.'
After a while, Kazuki calmed down and thought, 'Alright, now I'm okay. The genjutsu just showed me the things that would hurt me the most, but I subconsciously knew it wasn't real. If it were real, I would have awakened the Sharingan at that moment. It's good that I used it on myself, or I would have died if someone had used this against me in a real fight.'
The next day, Kazuki picked another genjutsu scroll from the library, which was Misty Follower Jutsu.
He thought, 'This is basically useless. It just forms several imaginary clones of the user to confuse the opponent. It's just an upgraded version of the Clone Jutsu that works on a single person, or multiple if used on them. The only difference is that the clones won't be lookalikes of the user and will multiply on each hit. It can be pretty annoying, though. I remember that someone from the chunin exam used it in the Forest of Death.'
After a few more weeks, Kazuki also mastered this genjutsu.
